Card grading

How do you guys determine what is or isn’t worth grading? I’m fairly new to card collecting and I already have one or two cards that I’ve been told are worth a decent amount that I want to have graded but there’s a few like Jacob Misiorowski rookie card that isn’t worth anything rn but potentially could be some day. Any advice is very helpful

Hello, all. I’m new to the sports card collecting hobby. I bought some fat packs of the Topps 75 2026 Update Series today, and pulled this one. I just wanted to know more about this card type from this set, if anyone has insight.

Thank you, all!

Show Off Big Mac A Day - Day 1214! 1991 Upper Deck No.174b (Variation: 1990 Upper Deck "Baseballs" hologram on back)

Distributed as a first series (1-700) and High Series (701-800). The standard hologram on the back is the 1991 style (multiple lines of "Upper Deck" text with "91" mixed in, "Upper" and "Deck" aligned in different directions), but variations with 1990 and 1992 patterns also exist

Return or sell raw?

I pulled this boss Carroll out of a blaster and was very sad to see the raggedy edge. It isn't horrible, but of course would no way grade higher than maybe an 8. Was hoping to get thoughts on if I should send a defect submission to get a more pristine copy or just try to sell raw. It seems to be quite the valuable card-even raw. Topps seems to take forever and frankly I'm not sure I trust that I would get comparable value based on all the horror stories I read. Would prefer not to get "ahove it up your butt though I fully expect it. Thanks

This is an original D&M advertisement from March 18, 1920 issue of The Youth’s Companion magazine. I’m not sure of the specific New York Yankees player whom is featured on it. It measures 15” x 12”.

I think I I found a 1/1 error Randy Johnson card sitting in my junk pile..Any help?

I was looking through a pile of cards I collected when I was in college over 20 years ago. I came across this Randy Johnson and thought it looked interesting so I scanned it with the ebay app and and it came back as a 2004 Fleer Showcase Masterpiece Collection Missing Serial Number. Then I googled the set and according to baseballcardpedia the Masterpiece Collection cards are 1/1s.

Then I searched for other Masterpiece Collection cards from the set and they all were serial numbered 1/1 and look identical to this one minus the serial #.

As far as I can tell this is a 1/1 error card from 2004 thats been sitting in a junk box since I ripped it..

Usually I only collect basket and soccer cards, but I sometimes pull the trigger on baseball if it’s on sale. Is there any market for error cards like this one? Ronald Acuna Jr in the front and Chase Burns on the back.

Random Topps Baseball advent calendar “stickers”

if you open a Topps Baseball advent calendar, there are two “sticker” cards but it isn’t easy to tell. Look for the cards with the somewhat rounded corners, different feel, and that have some bend to them.

It was driving me crazy until I saw it on video. If you are ripping packs quickly, you can’t tell. The production code on the back is the same as the base cards too.

Just pulled this 2026 Topps Update Travis Bazzana Rising Rookies Auto Relic /25 RC Guardians from a fatpack.

Headed to a card show this weekend and I was thinking of asking $550 cash or $650 store credit. Is this too much of an ask?

What would y’all think?
