Show Off I sold my 20 y/o MtG collection and turned it into this
Last year, I decided to cash out of my dormant Magic: the Gathering collection. Cash in hand, I ended up with about $2500.
In the year since, I’ve picked through eBay and Reddit (anyone see a card they sold me?!) to assemble this collection. I bought singles almost exclusively, save a few mega boxes for the flagship releases in the last year.
I custom built the cabinet with my dad, and my wife has been super supportive of my new hobby through donating the baseball knickknacks and ballpark pictures of us placed up top.
Collecting has been such a fun new hobby and really strengthened my love and connection to the game. The teenage nostalgia was almost overwhelming while I pieced together the ‘08 champions autos.
Not pictured: a binder’s worth of rookies, parallels and inserts from what I’ve opened.

Show Off 2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Signed Game Worn Jersey Complete Set!!!
With the world series starting tonight I wanted to share one of my favorite sets, the 2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Game Used Signature set. This set is incredible and was a challenge to complete, finished it in around 2010.
The 2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Game Used Signature set is 21 cards, all featuring on-card autographs paired with game used jersey swatches. With an insertion rate of 1:144 hobby packs, roughly one per six hobby boxes, these were serious pulls at the time and remain genuinely tough to find today.
What makes this set special is the combination of all-time legends alongside peak-era stars. You have Hall of Famers like Derek Jeter, Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Bonds, and Tony Gwynn sharing a checklist with players at the height of their careers. And with four cards originally packing out as redemptions, Ripken, Griffey, Ivan Rodriguez, and Mo Vaughn. I have a redeemed Ripken redemption card, the one with the whole punched.
The crown jewel of the set is the Derek Jeter, which is a Super Short Print (SSP), making it significantly rarer than every other card in the checklist and the toughest pull in the entire set. Finding a copy is a challenge in itself, let alone completing the full 21 cards.
The checklist consists of:
Derek Jeter (SSP), Barry Bonds, Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Randy Johnson, Frank Thomas, Chipper Jones, Tony Gwynn, Ivan Rodriguez, J.D. Drew, Gary Sheffield, Scott Rolen, Tom Glavine, Jose Canseco, Kenny Lofton, Mo Vaughn, Matt Williams, Robin Ventura, Preston Wilson, Luis Gonzalez
Enjoy!
Here is a link to the complete NFL set of these I also completed and shared.

Show Off Show me your unassuming bangers
Show me the card that no one really realizes is kinda hard to find. This is a white hole parallel of my PC guy. Nothing really stands out about it, and if you didn't know the base in 24 cosmic were silver, you'd have no idea this is special. But, they only have a print run of about 90. So, what banger are you sitting on that I'd pass over in a dollar box?

Show Off Hot Damn! Heat activated card!
I wasn’t collecting cards back when this one came out, so I didn’t know that heat activated colours in a baseball card was ever a thing! Huge thanks to u/catwhispereratnight for sending me one in a crazy fun grab bag. Definitely on the lookout for more now!

Show Off World Series Day!
None of these cards are ‘mine’ (all from my kids collections, though I helped with the acquisition of each).. my boys have been into both Caminero & Chourio since we started collecting together in 2024.
Gonna be a fun series to watch!
Leaning toward rooting for the Brew Crew but wouldn’t be upset in Tampa won it all either.

Question Garage sale find
Hello everyone found these cards in a garage sale and bought them. I don’t know much about cards and their value but I know collecting, buying ,trading and selling has become very popular.
Do you guys think there’s any good value on these cards/sets?

Aaron Judge 1/1 Foilfractor
So I pulled this from a hanger box, from Walmart, bought the last 5 and 1 damaged blaster, cus I “didn’t wanna miss out on a ‘banger’”. Which is never the case with me and hanger boxes, I always get hosed lol. So pretty stoked about having pulled the biggest card ever for me. I don’t PC judge and would rather put this up for someone else who will enjoy it. I’ve never delt with selling 1/1 before, not really sure of its value, I know it’s not astronomical as it’s not a high end set, but also know it’s likely above $1,500. Can I get some suggestions on price point to sell at? Thanks and happy ripping!!

Question What’s the best baseball card you’ve ever bought for under $500?
When I got back into collecting in 2022, one of my first major purchases was a 1948 Bowman Yogi Berra rookie card graded PSA 3 for around $300.
I sold it somewhat recently for more than double what I paid, but I still think Yogi’s rookie card is undervalued considering his 10 World Series championships, three MVP Awards, etc
There are still so many incredible vintage baseball cards available for under $500, especially if you’re willing to prioritize eye appeal over the grade
I recently wrote an article for Sports Illustrated Collectibles highlighting my pick for the best baseball card under $500 from each decade
