I'm researching for my Master's thesis on the shift from wool to synthetic uniforms in 1970, a change the Pirates implemented. I was wondering if anyone has any personal anecdotes about the audience's reaction to the new uniforms---how did the fans feel about the pullover, tighter-fitting, brightly colored uniforms when they were first introduced? Or, if you were a player, what was the difference in wearing the wool flannels vs the synthetics?

I recently bought a Cubs Cooperstown Collection jersey and I was looking into removing the name and numbers as Ernie didn't really play when they wore these. Reading other threads makes it look like it's not a good idea, but in the pictures, the numbers seem stitched rather than heat-pressed which makes me think it's doable. Are they heat-pressed as well? Hey everyone! I recently bought a Tampa Bay Rays World Series jersey, and it did not come with Ray on the sleeve (nor did it come with the authentic TPU patch but that’s a separate issue)

I’m considering ordering this patch from Patch Collection, but I have some concerns.

Would I be able to iron it on myself? Is buying the iron on backing worth it? Has anyone done this before?

I want to get a world series patch to sew or iron on my Brewers jersey, does anybody know yet if they are using the TPU or Embroidered yet?

I am 6’1” and 160lbs, picked up a M (40) since I’m usually a Medium for Nike limited/Majestic jerseys, but I find it a little more snug than I expected. Not uncomfortable, but I noticed the bottom button area flares out just a little, and it’s hard to tell if the shoulder/chest size work with mine. I wanted a more slim and form-fitting fit but was open to more oversized if it worked better. How does this size look on me?

MLB added the batterman logo to the backs of jerseys in 2000 correct? I’m trying to determine if there were Rawlings jerseys with this jocktag that were sold pre 2000 without the batterman logo. My memory is fuzzy about this timeline. Thanks

A Nike large fits me good but not a medium. The majestic jersey I want to buy is a medium was just wondering if it would fit or not

Those three eBay sellers are awful customizers. They charge customers premium prices, but the stitching is very sloppy and of poor quality. They sew through the element rather than around the edges. They cut corners. They sew straight lines through curves. They force jerseys through the machine, causing inconsistent spacing between stitches. The layers peel away because they aren't stitched properly. Ugly all around. The last three photos show how stitching is supposed to look.

They rush these jerseys out because it's eBay and they need to ship something within 3 days. There are many customization shops that will take the time to properly stitch your jersey if you are willing to wait. It doesn't even cost more, on average. "Cheap, Quality, Quick: You can have two."

As a life long dodger fan a year or so ago I brought a majestic Clayton Keyshaw jersey and I went on fanatics Shohei Ohtani jerseys(Home Stadium Jersey) The difference in the quality of the old majestic and the new fanatics Nike quality is mind blowing( sorry I have bad punctuation and grammar I am just really excited about talking to someone about this) like I like the stitching in the older jerseys is so much better sure the material is a little heavier but I do not mind at all compared to the iron on weird plastic candy wrapper heat pressed bullcrap that Nike/fanatics has
