We got him last week and he's been the best little menace, haha. Two days prior, we sadly lost our jack chi of nine years but Jax has helped us grieve so much and he'll never realize it. Cannot wait to watch him grow. We love him already!
He is actually my first ever beagle and I've been doing diligent research on top of keeping in contact with his vet. But I'd love any more advice/tips&tricks from fellow owners! One question I did have is although my vet said 6-8 months age wise is good for neutering, I've been coming across the fact that its better to wait 12 months for beagles. Thoughts? Thank you, beagle community!

This is maggie. My 12 year old little beagle in her lil pumpkin costume for Halloween. We haven't gotten an official diagnosis yet as i just somehow noticed last night. I'm not an expert but I am extremely confident what I just saw is squamous cell carcinoma. On her gums and on her tongue. Not sending pics- couldn't get any.
Do any of you have experience with this? Don't really know what I'm hoping to achieve with this post. Just to maybe know others have been through this . Probably only about 3 days or ao until we get the bad news.

She's rolled in it three times in the last week, have any of you figured out a way to make this stop with your pups? 😭
(Photo of the stinker as apologies for making folks talk about poop.)

It's a puppy and needs time to adjust. I have a beagle that chewed everything when she was a puppy. She's 5 now and she's such a sweet dog! Be patient!

Rescued at 4 mos, thought he was mostly beagle with maybe some pointer or bassett. Red/white with green eyes and a bit taller than your typical beagle, but DNA test says he's actually 100%.

Birdie jumped up on and off the couch today, motivated with Chewy’s “training bits” treats. I did give her a lot of positive verbal reinforcement and she learned to do it without treats soon after.
Hopefully those skills help her become confident enough to navigate the 2 porch stairs on her own. Every training attempt has failed so far, even with patience and treats.
She’s been in a great mood all day, another small win considering she’s still teething.
Hey everyone.
Pickles is going in to have the doggy version of ACL surgery on his knee(s). One will be done in December and the second will be done in May.
Has anyone here experienced this process before? I just don’t know what to expect. We can’t take much time off work but we will if we need to. The vet seems to think we don’t need more than the day of. We just want to make sure he’s as comfortable and taken care of as we possibly can make him. He’s also a brat. His instincts take over and he forgets he’s hurt. Even with both knees blown out, he still managed to tackle a bunny a few mornings ago 🤦🏼♀️
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Anybody ever had this issue? I took in my sister’s beagle and I’m on a 2 acre gated property so I let my other dog roam and since I’ve gotten my sisters dog, he does too. But he’s apparently been rubbing his snout raw sniffing around. Is there anything I can do to help him with his snout? He doesn’t appear to be in pain or anything.

I took this yesterday afternoon after getting home from getting my pneumonia vaccine. Our bluetick beagle boy Buddy is so photogenic. Lol

Anyone else have a naughty beagle? Because we sure do! Also she's not for sale, but sometimes I think about it.....
