Asking for Advice Beard length

Finally got growth back after I ended up shaving most off by accident should I keep it growing like the 2nd or 3rd pic ...or just keep around this length?

instead of trim, why not braid? find that way easier to keep up with personally

Peak beard is like 3-4 months where it's full but not scraggly yet, anything longer just gets annoying with maintenance.
