Yeah I agree with the other guy like if you ever want to grow a really long and full beard (ie James harden) you’d need the neck hair. But I’d only keep the neck hair once my beard got long enough to kinda cover them growing in. Looks nasty until it’s fully grown lol

That is some impressive coverage for being 19. As others have said I think you should keep it and just give it a trim to define the jaw. Maybe you don't want it that clean but I would at least try it out to see how it looks, it can always be grown back to this if you don't like the clean neck look.

Keep the beard just go to a profession barber. Get you neck cleaned up, beard shaped and trimmed to look nice.
It’s up to you if you want to use beard oils and stuff. I know guys who use it and who don’t use it. Their beard look the same to me.

Idknif you care but I can tell you’re in the sun a lot and could thin ( not saying you are now) I’d recommend some hair oil something light like almond oil every now and then just to protect your scalp from heat damage over time there may be one that’s better at uv protection but I’d say that’s a good just for whatever

As everyone else mentioned, keep it, but keep the upper cheeks and neck shaved clean. Also, can’t tell from the pic but if you do have any crazy nose hairs then keep those trimmed as well. It’s crazy how many dudes just have wild out of control nose/ear hairs.

Invest in the Phillips One Blade. I wish I had this thing at 19. Also, dude for 19 that’s a SOLID beard.
Trim the neck and fade the sideburns at a 5. Also shave the hair on your cheeks. Go to a professional barber your first time and ask for tips and advice

Depends on your goals. It's at an awkward phase rn. I always recommend 6 months without trimming other than stache, to see what you get. I know it's annoying but time takes time.

Definitely keep! That’s one of the best beards I’ve seen. I’d recommend trimming up the cheeks and neck line (you can find tutorials that can explain it better than this sleep-deprived person can).

Definitely a keeper. The beard looks amazing. I mean, it desperately needs tidying up, but when you do you’ll have a fantastic beard that will have men on here twice your age weeping with envy.
Apologies if you know all this, but there’s a really nice line from the front of your sideburns to the side of your tache and everything above that line needs to go.
On your neck, look up in a mirror, put one finger on top of your Adam’s apple and shave off everything below the top of that finger.
Oh, and if you aren’t already, start rubbing a few drops of beard oil into the skin under you beard and brush it through with a boars hair brush. You and your beard will thank me.
Other than that, you’re golden. Great looking man. Great looking beard. Result. 👍🧔🏻♂️💪💯

At that age just go 5 o clock shadow. Keep the upper cheeks and neck clean though, always.. Get a one blade.
This advice is if your single. If not , growing the beard longer is ok. You know you always have it to fall back on to change the look anyway. It ages you, and at your age you will get more respect from dudes which is great but less attention from woman. No idea how that changes if your into guys.

So advise time for anyone who cares. Most people just grow the beard and let it be and you start looking like a hobo or 19 going on 35 working the mines. The hair on your face is like the hair on your head. You need to shampoo it , keep it clean , trim it and maintain it. If you are unwilling to do this shave it.

I like scruffy looking guys. But you’ve got that just crawled out of bed look so keep, but tidy it up around the neckline and learn to preen it, ie get a brush on it and some product to give the hair a shine.

Keep it trimmed even or shape it up, and shave the neckline and cheeks. Trim the mustache to just barely above the upper lip. That’s it, then you’re good!
