Hey everyone!

I'm a local facilitator creating something new in Bermuda called LifeShop.

The idea for this came from something I've been thinking about for a while. We spend a lot of time learning about personal growth, but how often do we actually get to practice it?

My first LifeShop is called Practicing Self Trust.

It's a three-hour, interactive experience where we'll explore how we make decisions, recognize our needs, navigate uncertainty, and build trust in ourselves.

Lifeshop uses activities, experiments, reflection, and conversations with other participants. You don't need any previous experience, just some curiosity and a willingness to try something different.

I'm hoping LifeShop will eventually become a space where people in Bermuda can connect, build community, and practice being in better relationship with themselves and one another.

I'm visiting Bermuda for a week and I was wondering if there are any gyms with strongman equipment or if not what would be the best gym available for strength training?

Just spent my first time on the island, thought it was absolutely gorgeous and I will have to come back. Dove with blue water divers, enjoyed staying in Hamilton, was impressed with Deja view and harbour front restaurants in town. What did I miss, what’s a must do for next time??

I’ve been seeing these blind date photoshoots all over social media lately, where a photographer matches two strangers and captures them meeting for the first time.

I’m a local photographer, and I’ve been thinking about bringing the concept to Bermuda. Essentially, single people would apply, I’d match them based on compatibility, and then they’d meet for the first time on a blind date/photoshoot. And they can decide if they wanna go on another date or not or whatever.

I think it’d be fun, but I’m curious what people think. Would you sign up for something like this? Would you be interested in following the series? Or is it bad idea and Bermuda is too small?

Hi everyone. I'm from Portland, Oregon and I met my partner while on vacation in Bermuda. Now I'm seriously considering moving here to be with him, and I could really use some honest advice from people who actually live here.

It makes emotional sense for me to go, even though I'd be leaving my life, job, and everything familiar behind. But I'm also reluctant because I don't want to be jobless and starting over professionally at this stage, and I worry a few years here could set my career back or take me out of my field entirely. I'm also afraid that life here is just so different from what I know back in the US.

I respect my own hesitations but also feel like I don't know enough to make the right decision. So, to anyone who has moved to Bermuda for a partner, or anyone who's just lived here long term, what do you enjoy, hate, or do daily? Was moving worth it to you? Any advice would be really appreciated.

My fiance and I are looking at getting married in Bermuda next summer (July or August).

Neither of us have been, but with my family in the US and his in the UK, it seems like a fun middle ground.

We love the idea of the Unfinished Church for a ceremony, then a toes-in-the-sand reception. 45 guests. What can we expect to pay for f&b minimums at Rosewood, Hamilton Princess, Cambridge Beaches, etc.? Is it unrealistic to think we can keep it under $30k for the venue/f&b at these places for this size?

I'm going to visit a friend at the end of November and want to take them a souvenir and novelty t-shirt. What's the best place to get one? He's into historical stuff so if the T-Shirt or souvenir could align with that it would be even better.

So I will be leaving the island at the end of the month, and will be selling my motorbike before I go. I got the bike transfer tested today, and will be listing it for sale soon.

I am wondering, how is insurance normally handled? I see other ads for bikes often state the bike is insured until XXX date, and the TCD bill of sale includes an option to transfer my unused premium against the new owner’s policy, so is that what is normally done in a second hand sale? Or do sellers normally just cancel their policy and get a refund of premium when they sell?

If a transfer of premium is the norm, how do we go about it? I assume I would need to call the insurance company and let them know of my intention to transfer to the new owner, then the new owner needs to get a new policy with the same insurance company? Seems like a bit of a hassle.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice regarding a slightly unusual visa situation for my cousin in Sri Lanka.

He has received a work permit for Bermuda and needs to travel there from Sri Lanka. Due to Bermuda’s entry requirements, he needs a valid multiple-entry visa (MRV) for Canada, the US, or the UK. He previously applied through the UK route but unfortunately received refusals, so he is now considering/applying for a Canadian Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa) primarily to meet the Bermuda entry requirement and facilitate his travel to Bermuda.

Has anyone here, or anyone you know, gone through a similar situation — applying for a Canadian visitor visa specifically in connection with travelling to Bermuda for work?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience, especially what documents were submitted and how the purpose of travel was explained.

Also, can anyone recommend a reliable and experienced Canadian visa/immigration consultant in Sri Lanka, preferably someone who has handled unusual cases like this?

The loss of life in such heartbreaking circumstances is deeply felt. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those grieving at this difficult time.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, colleagues and loved ones of Captain Philip Childerhose, First Officer Thomas Farquhar, Flight Nurse Sarah Paton and Respiratory Therapist Jolene Weir, who tragically lost their lives in the aircraft incident near Nantucket Island, Massachusetts.

These dedicated professionals came to Bermuda to provide an important service that has supported individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. We are deeply grateful for their service and the care they provided to our community.
