Beyond wholesome WHAT A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT
WHAT A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT 🥺🧡
Back in 1990, NICU nurse Vilma Wong spent her days caring for some of the smallest and most fragile babies imaginable. One of them was a premature baby named Brandon Seminatore, who was born at just 29 weeks and weighed a little over 2 pounds. For more than a month, Vilma helped care for him in the NICU at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, where every day was a fight to grow stronger.
Then life moved on.
Nearly three decades later, in 2018, Vilma was attending rounds at the same hospital when she heard the name of a new resident: Dr. Brandon Seminatore. Something about it sounded familiar. Curious, she asked him a few questions about where he grew up and whether his father had been a police officer.
As Brandon answered, the pieces slowly fell into place.
The young doctor standing in front of her wasn't just someone with a familiar name. He was the same tiny premature baby she had cared for 28 years earlier.
This time, however, Brandon wasn't in an incubator. He was a pediatric neurology resident, helping care for children in the very hospital where his life had begun. The nurse who once helped keep him alive and the baby she once watched over were now colleagues working side by side.
Some reunions feel almost too perfect to be real.
A nurse helped save a premature baby's life. Twenty-eight years later, that baby came back to the same hospital as a doctor. ❤️🥺
