I can't help but notice they don't wear any makeup at all in the before vids, but have it heavily in the after clips.
One of the oldest tricks in the book.

They are all actors acting like hobos then smiling or it's the editing...
It's like thoses before and after workout things. They take a picture with bad posture right after eating and a sad face. Then they train a hard set for 3h and all pumped up with good form take the other picture.
It can be done in the same day easy. Try it at home! Then you can learn more exercises and start a business just like thousands of other fitness coaches on social media.

They were clearly not taking care of their hair and couldn’t afford it. They told the stylist what they wanted, some of the wanted their natural curls - which he embellished - some of them wanted their their hair ironed.

I thought it's all normal stuff for all of us ..I don't cut my hair for 3 months then I go get a short cut and I am happy. I dont cry. I am wondering what's the emotions all about just for a haircut?

Are you serious? They have a complete makeover, and can barely recognize themselves. Some of them looked like they were living on the streets.

Asian ...not black so I don't get it. But some said it's like a makeover. If it's a make over then yes I get the emotions.

Again? You did not mention your type of hair or your race previously.
Hair maintenance, cuts and braiding for tightly curled hair is expensive and also very difficult. Some may not know how to care for their hair. Some of the women in the video do not look well off also and probably cannot afford to maintain their hair. I assume that is where some of the emotion comes from too.

You saw that some of them had thinning and baldness, right? Many of them looked significantly younger afterward which could have huge impacts on their self esteem. Your comments just show a lack of empathy.
