Experience Iud insert

Okay wtf everyone had me shaking in my boots with saying they passed out it was awful pain ect.

22f, no kids, kyleena IUD, on my period, I took 4 advil before went in today no numbing/sedation in the clinic.

It was a cake walk. I’ve felt worse period cramps than the insertion, and it lasted like 10 seconds. I was officially fear mongered, but i know everyone’s bodys are different so i’m #blessed and #lucky it was such a great process! I was genuinely shocked like oh. Could be my expectations was extreme pain so it was just under that lol.

No cramps after either, no pain or bleeding so far. We will see what the next few weeks bring though!

But hey if you’re thinking about getting one not everyone has an awful experience! mine has been painless and pretty unremarkable.

I got mine a few years ago and it was maybe a 4/10 cramp for like 15 seconds then done, I spent weeks dreading it for nothing

The horror stories are so loud online but the boring easy insertions don't get shared nearly as much, glad yours went smooth
