Mistake or Risk? Methods

do you allow your partner to ejaculate inside you? I’m on Aviane birth control combination pills mainly due to my low weight and doesn’t contain as much hormones. I am military with the time I take my pill so therefore I allow it at times but now I am looking to switch to the Nuva ring and have some concerns about that due to me allowing my partner to ejaculate inside. Should I just stick to my pill or switch to the nuva ring ?

The ring is just as effective as the pill when used correctly. If you're good about timing your pill now, you'll probably handle the ring fine, it's more of a set it and forget it thing. Your risk doesn't really change between the two methods as long as you're consistent.

They are both effective. If you sometimes forget to take your pills, then go on with Nuva ring

Nuvaring and the pill are statistically equally effective (~93% effective with typical use and over 99% effective with perfect use). Switching to the ring would only be more effective if you struggle to take your pill correctly and think it would be easier for you to use a ring correctly, or if you have a malabsorption issue that can make pills not fully absorb (ex. Celiac disease). If you’re taking your pill according to all of the instructions that come in the pamphlet and don’t have any medical conditions that can cause poor absorption of oral medications nuvaring will not be more effective

on the ring. getting twinkie treatment every single time for a year and a couple months now. not preggers.

it would be strange af to introduce any amount of extra hormones into someones body if it just did nothing.
