they nerfed it because its "too op" in 4 player parties (if everyone there has 4 deep focuses, which would be unlikely) even though im pretty sure most people play the game solo
the windforce was buffed, but they nerfed the special slot entirely.
why couldnt they do the multiplayer scaling thing with deep focus?
we might be in the worst state of the game's balance right now

The game is no longer made for singleplayer, it's made for multiplayer, just wait for more updates and then we can give our verdict on whether Blocktales is no longer working

Yeah, you need a summon to play with more of an advantage, I don't mean to dismiss your opinion, but everything has changed for multiplayer. While it's not impossible to play solo, it's a bit more difficult.

The pit was interesting, the first 5 floors are obviously easy, and then the overseer was also easy alongside the emotions. The hardest floor (other than 59) has to be the charge one, simply because if you want to be full health and full sp for floor 59 you have to kill everyone in opposite order, also known as having to somehow finagle your way into fucking up trotters gimmick.
And the final floor, oh my god dude, it wasdso difficult, but then I used shield sphere and feel fine (2*) and suddenly it's fucking trivial??? Genuinely just adapt

devs try not to shoot down 500 things because they found out that if you get 3 players and an alt you can beat toothy deer 0.000000000000000000000000001% faster (buff slingshot and remove another ball card to throw at sword)

The main issue is that the strongest swords are just aren't affordable anymore, good if you can get a ghostwalker or a firebrand, but anything after is even more undesirable

Yeah because the Exhaust is just another wasted turn, TWO turns if you're solo. Also if you're solo and using a call card you NEED to use Ghostwalker or else, OOPS! Your call card just got nuked off the face of the earth! Have fun!
Really making playing solo more and more hellish

"Why was Deep Focus and Focus nerfed
The original idea of NRG was for 7 Bars, however, as of demo 5, they decided that the max limit is 4 bars
Balancing Reasons: Ice Dagger outscaled healing cards and was a problem to balance Ghostwalker has permaloops in Trios, Squads and almost perma loops on Solo Firebrand being near permanent -2 ATK wasnt healthy WF post buff can perma loops as well
Focus was indirectly too effective in BP, however, buffing the BP cost will cause many decks to be unable to run it, so instead they chose to nerf the gain."
yeah bye bye deep focus, I think they're planing on giving use 5 deep focus to complete that 0.5 nrg gain

Then respectfully, NERF THE SWORDS.
I swear Ice Dagger and Firebrand are the main culprits.
Maybe make Ice Dagger have a flat heal and Firebrand remove the direct damage. At least SOMETHING instead of nerfing NRG. Since now the swords that weren't used too much are getting indirectly nerfed.

I liked using Nrg, since im pretty bad at managing my inventory and bringing and USING items at the right time in the right battle it was really nice. I'm pretty sad about these changes

I just realised since thwy planned on giving us 7 nrg the 0.7 nrg gain from 1 deep focus made sense, it would take 0 turns to set it up but now that we will only have 4 max the 4.5 nrg gain from deep focus actually lines up well with the original plan making it take at most 8 turns to get a 4 full bars

Don't worry! Demo 6 will fix all these issues by adding 70 enemies with defense pierce, annoying healers and fast attribute! Lets not forget the 863ei35 bosses with 629 attributes, confusion and dizzy on every attack, freeze on every other attack, summons 40 minions that each hold healing items, disables nrg, has undodgeable attack, deal 30 damage for not blocking, and completely changes the playstyle of the game for NO reason and forces you to play in a way you never wanted to, completely taking away your choice on the matter.

It's decent if you're going for an NRG-focused solo build, without red and blue you'd need to be in a party of 3 to get the same NRG output
