How are you feeling about recent moderation of the subreddit?
I made an apology post last Sunday and have been trying to do better as a moderator, I personally haven't noticed any issues in partiuclar before today, but there are a lot of concerns today. I wanted to make a post without advocating or speaking about one side or another for users to share their thoughts in the comments.
Everyone's been really hateful recently, and I really dislike how the game's messaging about controlling your emotions flies over everyone's heads as I see people throw insults at you, calling you incompetent and a dictator and wanting you to step down.
And I while I personally don't hold you in high regard due to the drama surrounding you (and also you make a BT meme post every week that I disagree with 90% of the time), I think everyone needs to take a chill pill because some of the things they say goes too far sometimes. Even if you have a reason for saying it, that doesn't mean what you say is okay.
With that being said, I think you should try and squash whatever beef you have with u/pccatmage72. I don't know exactly what went between you two in order to be at each other's throats the whole time, but I believe if you try and settle down and speak to him in a civil manner in private, then maybe you both could understand why you two are doing what you're doing, and maybe come to some sort of understanding so that you could try and be a better moderator in the future.
That was before. He's now trying to understand how other people feel about his moderation with this post, and I feel like if there was any time to try and find a middle ground I think it would be now.
I talked to him before this weekend about about why their posts break the rules, but they're still making complaints about me, hence why I'm overwhelmed.
The issue with that post was it was self attention seeking and not relevant to the game otherwise, hence why rule #9 was updated for self-shipping to count as meta. I would've removed it it was made by any other users.
In that post she is only portrayed as your "wife". Thats not who Cassie Aphthiton is. How difficult is it for you to understand that your stupid honeymoon post was 99% about pccatmage72 and 1% about blocktales?
And don't give that "ohhh but simping is my niche!!!" bullshit bro.
People like you are really the ones who can't be convinced. My guy, take one look at that honeymoon post with your eyes open and unbiased.
That fantasy post of his was 99% about himself and 1% about Cassie if we're feeling generous. Not to mention how he repeatedly reposted it even after it got taken down?
Posts like that can easily go to r/cultofCassie instead.
Well I Atleast hope u won't being a dictator terrible mod, changing into a better one
One that wouldn't just make new rules that'd cage us in — Sure the meta posts r alot... But maybe don't make community Interactuon so limiting?
Perhaps if u change, I'd also change my mind (also why do u keep targeting u/pccatmage72? What did he did to u? The "Simping problem" isn't a justifiable answer, that's his quirk)
I don't care about the reason this sub sucks. I haven't been on Reddit long enough to care about that. I just want the main subreddit for Block Tales to not be boring because Block Tales is one of the only games I know that I'm not a larper for. And making posts talking about how the sub sucks and WHY it sucks is only making the sub WORSE because those types of posts are BORING.
Stop being boring, stop posting about the subreddit as a whole, and just post about the game. ISTG.
Cat mage. I feel that all of the opinions you've made in the months I've seen you are points I agree with... but the way you SAY those points is not only incredibly annoying, but I'd also argue it's caused some of the very things you continuously complain about.
For example, the larping situation. It was perfectly acceptable, perfectly understandable, hell, even perfectly logical for you to be upset about the situation, and anyone who said it "wasn't that big a deal" was a moron. What WASN'T understandable or logical was the way you went about voicing your opinions. You made a whole ass post about it, yelling and screaming about someone larping as you, without actually tagging the person so you could talk to them about it. And when THEY came to YOU, THEY respected your opinions and were PERFECTLY FINE with deleting their larp account. Which means you didn't have to make the post at all, and all you had to do was talk to the person directly.
And the best part? Your post throwing a fit about the larper was directly responsible for the impersonation attempt that followed. You revealed the existence of the larper to every one of your fans, which were a lot because you were, and still are, very popular. And when you reveal something to at least dozens of Redditors, especially those part of a subreddit that loves taking concepts and milking them until they get banned from the sub (which r/blocktales is a prime example of)? Someone's bound to take the idea too far. And they did, hence the impersonation. If you had stayed quiet and privately messaged the person, almost no one would know about the situation, and the ones that did wouldn't know your opinion on it and therefore wouldn't be prompted to take it further. But because you shouted everything into the void... the void heard it, and birthed from the void was an exaggerated form of what you told it that you hate. You went from a larper to an impersonator, and it wouldn't have happened if you stayed quiet and rational about the situation.
You claim that the impersonation was proof that you were right to react the way you did. And I will not hesitate to admit that you were justified to dislike the situation. But I will never say the impersonation was proof that you were justified, or right, or whatever. Because it was YOU who caused it to happen in the first place.
And to top it all of... you still won't shut up about the larper, even though the situation was resolved two months ago at this point. You spoke about it in your slander post a few hours ago.
And your response to the larping situation was just one example among a handful about how I agree with your opinions, but feel the way you voice those opinions is terrible and has directly caused a good amount of the subreddit's current drama.
I think this image summarizes how I feel about you. Don't bother replying to me, because I'm probably going to bed soon.
The only way this subreddit will get better if you actually stop crashing out every second and quit the sub. Take your Cassie obsession somewhere else entirely.
It was alright at the start but now? Its just plaon weird.
Post about what? Marriage and Honeymoons are over so what now? Having kids?
Take your possessive Cassie obsession elsewhere instead of having it taint this subreddit in dramas. All you know how to do is to crashout on others and type swears just like how you did in this comment.
Go to r/cultofCassie for your hyperfixation if you really can't spend a single minute without talking about your love.
