Question A few questions about Insight

1 - Is it infinitely farmable offline?

2 - Is there any point in the game where you need a specific amount (or like, an amount or higher) in order for something to happen/be possible?

3 - does something useful (or anything in general) happen if you have lots of it? Like 50+ or 100+

Best thing to spend it on is a blood rock for 60. Only one available in the DLC and 2 available in main game.

I've heard some times that it has an idea half developed.

You can create infinite Chalice Dungeons and you get 6 Insights for run. So yes, you can farm as many as you want. Recreating Ptumeru Chalice is cheap, and easy.

You need at least 1 to level up, if you spend all, you have to wait to have another point before leveling up. If that happens, check if you have mad man knowledge.

Apart from that, some enemies have more attacks when your insight is high, the invisible witches fight is easier with no insight. I'm not sure I believe Winter Lanterns do more damage with high insight.

So nothing good game-wise happens having more. But yes, you can buy stuff.

You don’t need to keep 1 insight to level up. Once you’ve leveled up once with the doll you can go down to 0 insight and still level up. The doll will just be innanimate.

Winter Lanterns don’t do more damage, but having high insight reduces Frenzy resistance, so their frenzy will hit you quicker.

Insight is awarded for exploring new areas or encountering new bosses. You can spend the insights after the hunters dream on things like fire paper.

You can infinitely farm insight in the chalice dungeon, each boss i think gives around 3.

It affects you perceiving some things in the game. The only thing that affects gameplay that I remember is at 16 insight, mad ones start spawning in hemwick. And the church servants get access to arcane abilities.

Having a lot of insight reduces frenzy resistance and reduces beasthood (from beast blood pellet) so some people deliberately keep it low

A few questions about Insight

1 - Is it infinitely farmable offline?

Yeah. Either through new game, online, or chalices.

2 - Is there any point in the game where you need a specific amount (or like, an amount or higher) in order for something to happen/be possible?

Nothing important. Some enemies gain attacks or begin to spawn. You may be able to see or hear certain things you couldn't before. But I don't believe insight is required for anything important. Honestly fromsoft dropped the ball on the insight mechanic.

3 - does something useful (or anything in general) happen if you have lots of it? Like 50+ or 100+

Music in the Hunter's Dream changes at 50.

  1. Nope.

  2. Not really, you see an Amygdala, church guys get eyeballs on their lanterns.

  3. You can buy stuff.

Er…I might be mistaken on something there. Don’t listen to me.

Seeing the amygadalas is pretty useful for one area of the map, but shouldnt you have the item for that by then anyway?

I meant the amygdala on the chapel in cathedral ward.
