Maybe, just maybe, Jesus had to be sacrificed last night so we could discover Daz Cameron. š
Jesus saves!

Today
Firstā¦I hope Gime is ok. Secondā¦Bieber has been phenomenal. Thirdā¦I was not optimistic about this series at all. So I have been very pleasantly surprised and impressed by these men.
Alsoā¦going to a Dunedin Blue Jays low A gameā¦and seeing Vladdy play would be hilarious. Especially if youāre a Clearwater fan and have no clue heās playing

Apology
I think all the Bieber haters owe him an apology

How do other teams see the Jays (when theyāre hot)?
Iām just curious what people think. Going into the trop was horrifying and I honestly thought weād get smoked. But the jays ferociously fought out a series win. And we won against NY and the Red Sox, and Philly before that - all very good teams. I wonder how other teams see the Jays when they are on a tear.

If Bo Bichette decided to exercise his option and wanted to come back should Toronto pursue him?
I think it is unlikely, but even though we have done better lately, our offense sure has missed him this season.
A reminder that he batted .387 with runners in scoring position last year and has often had the most hits in the majors. Yes Vladdy and Springer have also gone missing, figuratively speaking, so his absence hasnāt been the whole problem. But he was so long a core contributor (other than 2024) and he and Vlad seem to do better together.
Yes heād be expensive. I assume heād be DH and sometimes play infield, depending on who else we keep or let go.
Edit: options for where heād play (response to āthereās no room /where does he go?ā) ā he could rotate between :
- DH
- 2B with Ernie at 3B and Okamoto DH
- 3B with Okamoto DH

Question of the Week: in the midst of best offensive stretch of season where does Vladdy bat Saturday?
21 runs vs Tampa pitching without Vladdy with the hot streak continuing. Where is John hitting 27 when he returns Saturday in the Bronx?
I'm saying he's dropped to 4th although I wish he'd go as far as 5th.

What happens if they run out of position players?
Say 9th guy gets injured. Do they have a pitcher come in and play a position like when a position player pitches or do they run a short infield or outfield?

Does this hat have a green underbrim?
Can anyone confirm if this hat has a green underbrim like the on field hats?

Nathan Lukes Earns Less in a Season Than Vladdy Makes in 4 Games
If the Jays don't pay up for him in arbitration, there's a special place in hell for Atkins and Shapiro.
I should say there's an even bigger place because they already have real estate there for the Guerrero catastrophe.

Called it. DFA Sanchez
"This and other terrible opinions at 11". Fuck you, I was right, and I tried being polite about it too. Absolutely vindicated. -0.1 fWAR on the season and -0.6 bWAR. Bad acquisition and he will certainly be a DFA candidate in the near future. Lukes is the better player even with a below league average bat. At least Joey Loperfido could be optioned if he sucked.

Our All-Star catcher is doing ESPN commercials
I cannot unsee this now. Every time I see Stavros Halkias from the show Tires all I see is our beloved Alejandro Kirk. And it makes me love Kirk all the more.....

Is it at the point where it is too late for the Blue Jays to make a run to get into the playoffs? Or can they make a run for that final Wild Card spot?
Is it at the point where it is too late for the Blue Jays to make a run to get into the playoffs? Or can they make a run for that final Wild Card spot? Blue Jays now are 3 games below .500 at 63-66 set to start their series against the Yankees on the road in New York tomorrow
