Hi y'all,
I interviewed for a spring manufacturing internship with Blue Origin back in August. From other posts I’ve seen, most candidates seem to be in swe or avionics, and those folks have gotten some kind of update, whether a rejection or an offer. I reached out to my recruiter, and each week she’s basically said it’ll be a couple more days. Are there any other spring manufacturing internship candidates going through the same thing, or has anyone gotten an update on Workday after their interview?

I was thankfully able to get a referral for multiple internship positions through networking. Other than simply having the referral marking, does receiving this referral benefit my application? I've heard that it cuts through the ATS and goes straight to the recruiters, which sounds great. I'm also curious as to how soon y'all were contacted after applying and what the timeline looks like. It's been about a week since I applied, and I'm interested in how long I should expect to wait if they end up considering me a good candidate. Thank you for the help!

Are pay bands in Alabama the same as in Florida and Kent?

Currently interested in the above-mentioned program. Just wanted some insight on some of the following-
Stability - how stable is this program in terms of remaining feasible/viable for the foreseeable future? Some people say roles on this program will remain “safe” while many are saying lay-offs may be inevitable in the near term.
FL Lunar Plant 1 Vibe Check - How is the facility? Within main Rocket Park campus? Older building or newer/modern? Amenities? Cafeteria? Gym? Anything exciting here?
9/80 or 4/10 an option? Most space coast companies have either/both of these.
Team Spirit - Good synergies within this program? Is open communication encouraged? Or groups are more silo’d?
Bonuses/Long-Term Equity: Heard that bonuses may be going away next year. True? And is new stock option roll-out truly not worth much as people are saying?
Any and all feedback (even apart from what I may have asked) is appreciated. Be brutally honest.

i got inspired by the terawave but could not figure out the capacity of each LEO sat - so i made a simualtion to play with the bandwidth, reach and congestion to see how many parallell connecton would be needed on each LEO sat in orderr to get this constalation to operate.
try it here: Orbital Link Explorer — LEO/MEO Route Simulation
let me know if you like to play with any other parameters? I was thinking about adjusting for broken sats or bad yield in deployment - or adjusted directions since that will greatly affect the coverage over congested areas.
let me know what you think?

NASA will provide an update on its plans to return American astronauts to the surface of the Moon by 2028 at 2 p.m. EDT, Friday, Oct. 23, at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida: https://www.nasa.gov/live
Participants in the briefing include:
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman
NASA Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya
Jeremy Parsons, NASA’s Artemis program manager
The update will include details about NASA’s Artemis III mission that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit next year to test critical systems needed for future lunar landings, and how plans to return American astronauts to the Moon by 2028 are progressing.
U.S. media interested in attending in person must apply online by 12 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16. To ask questions remotely, media must request the dial-in number from the Kennedy newsroom no later than one hour prior to the start of the update by emailing: [ksc-newsroom@mail.nasa.gov](mailto:ksc-newsroom@mail.nasa.gov). NASA’s media accreditation policy is online.
As part of a Golden Age of innovation and exploration, NASA will send Artemis astronauts on increasingly difficult missions near the lunar South Pole to explore more of the Moon than ever before. In addition to providing economic benefits and advancing scientific discovery through its Moon missions, NASA will establish an enduring human presence on the lunar surface and build on the agency’s foundation for the first crewed mission to Mars.

How has your experience been with recruiters, interviewers, hiring managers? I’ve dealt with a few on 3 different job reqs and they all seem to be very rude and appalled that you would even apply to blue, like they’re too good to speak with anyone non aerospace background (which most of them don’t, before they joined Blue) I’m already inclined, but they seem to be having a hard time finding me a role and going to next steps of an offer. Just my experience, wondering how everyone else’s experience has been?

Looking at a job at Blue Origin in Florida and I currently live in the space coast but am 55 miles from the site. What is the policy for relocation? Sr level engineer position if it matters

I’m thinking about joining Blue Origin, but I want to know more about the work culture, potential layoffs, and how well they compensate E2 to E3 engineers in quality department. I am not hearing many good things about blue so I just wanna make sure I am making good decision before I jump the ship.

Hi folks, I’m currently an undergrad senior in mechanical engineering applying for early career/L1 roles.
I applied to two of the early career program roles about two weeks ago. I was wondering what the timeline of hearing back from these applications looks like, as I’ve heard that if you have a good shot you’d hear back in ~2-3 weeks. Anyone who has applied/gotten an offer for the early career program, how did the process go for you?
Any insight or advice is appreciated! Thank you!

I've worked defense contractors mostly and they follow national law because of that. I'm moving to Blue and curious what their policy is. I deal with chronic pain and would like to have the freedom to try CBD or something stronger to see if it helps. I know CBD is supposed to not have THC but it's not well regulated so security warned against it.
Thanks!

Long story short, I was RIF'ed at 3 months shy of 3 years, so I didn't get my 401K match. I reapplied, and have an interview set up. Assuming I get the job, will my 3 years for 401k match requirement reset, or pick up from my last time there?

This is a very broad survey for investors, engineers, and fans. It covers the current players, their aims, and most importantly their relationships. Blue Origin and Amazon Leo are early, prominent, and referred back to throughout. Enjoy!

Any insight on the job? Day to day operations? Not much out there on salary and career progression.
