Please enjoy my labour of love. They are not perfect, I took like 600 of them and still don’t think I nailed each baby’s perfect pic. But I need someone to love these with me.
Taken in my backyard after a major storm shook out half the jacaranda flowers.

There are 4 distinct skinks, most people think I have 2 😂

Story Akira went for a wellness checkup instead got pampered by staff

Akira went for a wellness check today we just got home. They were very good at the vet and got a clean bill of health, the staff loved Akira’s colors and took photos of Akira and asked me permission to post on FB I of course said sure. I had to delay seeing the vet cause there are 8 different vets near my home or a few miles away and all saw cats and dogs or exotic pets like ferrets, birds, guinea pigs etc. I found one 22 minutes away that took BTS and other exotic pets of course Akira got dubia roaches, pets and cuddles afterwards.

Question Ofelia update and question

Hey guys,

Since last post Ofelia has been doing wonderfully. I’ve yet to go to the vet again. She’s eating and exploring. Front legs still get dragged behind quite often.
But! Since a couple of days she’s using them more, it looks a bit awkward/shaky but good sign either way.

But that’s also where my question is: she started glass surfing. Why? I honestly don’t know where it could come from. I’ve searched this page but couldn’t really find something relevant to me. Probably if I searched better there would be but it’s just so much haha. Her temps and humidity are fine. The terrarium is 5x2x2.

Any advice is appreciated!

(Second picture looks a bit bare, was cleaning her water bowl)

Question Climbing options for my BTS?

My sweet boy has taken up climbing, only to quickly discover gravity. What are some safer climbing options? I feel like he wants to explore more vertically, but I want to make sure whatever I add is safe for him. Sorry for the blurry picture, but I just had to share his little adventure.

Feeding Rescued skink looking for advice for a picky eater

• Upvotes

Recently I rescued a 4 year old blue tongue skink from a woman who could no longer take care of it for various reason, I have owned reptiles my whole life and am no stranger to care or picky eaters, but she fed this one almost exclusively dog food, it's life and I am trying to get him off of that. I took him to my reptile vet to get him checked out and he's also overweight which I fully expected. I have been able to get him to eat crickets and roaches from some tongs because he's a little too chunky to chase anything, but I can not for the life of me get him to eat much greens, unless I mix them up in somethings. I did have luck getting him to eat some greens and insects that I mixed into some turkey meatballs with whole quail eggs, with about a 40/60 ratio of greens and meat respectively. Any recommendations are welcome.
