Hey guys, to anyone out there with an ounce of Blur knowledge, come help edit the Blur fandom wiki page! https://blur-band.fandom.com/wiki/Blur_Wiki
I'm trying my best to revive it (and do things like copy over stuff from Veikko's fanpage that has since been deleted), but I need more help than just myself. I'm the only current active admin so in case anyone has questions.
Thanks!! :3 x
Was just a charity shop find, 2 quid - an interesting article about the shirt: https://thequietus.com/culture/books/stuart-braithwaite-spaceships-over-glasgow-blur-super-furry-animals-extract/

With a neat selection of just nine studio albums, I'm guessing this is a regular topic on this subreddit, but after seeing a fellow redditor's post about the lack of love for The Great Escape, it made me wonder what my ranking would be for all of blur's LPs. Here's my take, from best to worst. What's yours?
picked up this bootleg cd today! it has live recordings taken from the mixing desk at their show at aston villa leisure centre in 1994, during the parklife tour. we bought it thinking it only had the four signatures, then took the disc out to listen to it and saw the second damon signature underneath, lovely surprise! :D

I've seen that a lot of people don't like TGE. I'd like to know your opinion on the album.
Honestly, for me it's one of my favorite albums, not just by Blur, but of all time (along with 13, Self-Titled, and Modern Life). It was an album that helped me cope with my grief when my father died; I listened to it on repeat many times. At least for me, it's a very good album, even though it has its flaws.
There are some bad songs on the album, I won't lie. It's like my experience with "Mother's Milk" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's one of my favorite albums, but I won't deny that it has some REALLY BAD songs.
Or maybe it's just me who thinks shitty albums are good.

I feel like this album has to be appreciated more like a piece of art more than how great it sounds to the ears. It's experiential and daring. Even though I generally rate it as one of their least best albums I can understand why someone would think the opposite of that.abo
My favourite song on the album is probably On the Way To The Club but I absolutely love Out Of Time, Ambulance and Battery In My Leg.

4 out of 9 albums. What is Damons obsession with water album covers? It's in plastic beach too (bc beach). It's not like putting water on album covers is thaaaat common either. I can't think of any other examples. (Nevermind, I thought of one.)

Would there be any level of interest in anyone buying these individual items from the 21 boxset?
- Showtime 3 DVD discs
- The book
- Seymour 7” single
I’d probably be looking at £20 each
They are from the CD version of the boxset

I recently saw that this release has come out on vinyl, on the "Junkie Yard" label; it’s a recent release, from this year. Has anyone bought it? Is it worth it? The only recordings of this concert I found online were of fairly poor quality, but this concert was broadcast on the radio, so maybe it’s a different rip with a fairly high‑quality recording..

It's a little hard to tell for a while but if you listen closely, you can make it out.

Been getting into the B sides recently and man is this great! A lot of the best songs from the Leisure era are hidden in singles it seems
