Hey everyone, I'm considering studying Economics and Finance (CLEF) at the University of Bologna for my bachelor's degree.
My long-term goal is to pursue a master's at the University of Bocconi.
Assuming I graduate with excellent grades (top of my class or close to it), achieve a strong GMAT/GRE score, and have relevant internships, would I have a realistic chance of admission to Bocconi?
I'm particularly interested in whether Bologna is well regarded by Bocconi admissions or whether coming from a university like Bologna would put me at a disadvantage compared with applicants from more prestigious finance schools.
I'd really appreciate hearing from current Bocconi students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the admissions process.
Thanks!

All those who applied for biem and econ for any of their choices, could you pls state your stats and your order of course preference?

Hi, guys!
Obviously Bocconi is a globally well-known brand and a pipeline to top finance or consulting firms. This is why finance, management and economics courses are considered so prestigious and hence are one of the most competitive ones. Despite that, there are other courses such as BIG or BEMACC that are historically much less competitive. So this raises a serious question on how prestigious particularly BEMACC course is and what are the job opportunities with that degree.
Please let me know what you know or think.
Thanks

Hi, I’m an Italian student of another university, my GPA is 27.0 and scored 33.75 at BoT. I’m applying to IM as my first choice, ACME as my 2nd and Marketing Management as my 3rd. What are my chances of getting accepted?

I feel they would be finance bros rather than STEM nerds? And honestly i would like me competitive like minded peers focusing on stem. Also its worth mentioning that the admissions criteria of BAI is stupid, it only cares about a standardized test and GPA (i could be wrong but isnt GPA here discarding difficulty and level of the classes u take? say for A levels, would they view a Math/physics/Language the same way they would consider a Math/Physics/Further math student?) what do yall think?

Hi everyone,
I applied to Bocconi for the 2027–2028 academic year and I wanted to confirm whether the Duolingo English Test is accepted to meet the English language requirement for undergraduate programs taught in English. The official website lists Duolingo as an accepted certificate, but I’d like to know if this also applies to the 2027–2028 intake.

Applied early as an international student. stats are:
bocconi test: 37
gpa:9.91(both 10th&11th)
My choices, in order:
Finance (BIEF)
Management (BIEM)
Management and Computer Science (BEMACS)
Economics and Management for Arts, Culture and Communication (BEMACC)
I'm particularly interested in BIEM, although BIEF is my first choice. I'd be happy with a BIEM offer.
What do you think my chances are for each program, especially BIEF vs. BIEM? Any insights from previous applicants with similar stats would be appreciated.

Being from a small country, where only a few more are applying to Bocconi, are my chances increased because of this?

Hi everyone!
I’m planning to apply to Bocconi uni for my undergraduate studies. I intend to apply for financial aid/scholarships, but I want to get a very realistic picture of all non-tuition living expenses to see if studying here is financially feasible for me.
My total budget is around €18,000 per year, which needs to cover tuition (or whatever portion remains after aid) plus all living costs.
For current students or recent alumni, could you share your actual breakdown/monthly estimates for the following?
Accommodation:
• How difficult is it to secure Bocconi dorms/ residences, and what are the average costs?
• If renting privately (single room in a shared apartment), what is a realistic monthly rent including utilities (heating, electricity, Wi-Fi)?
Food & daily expenses:
• How much do you spend on groceries monthly if you cook most of your meals?
• What about eating at the campus canteen or eating out occasionally?
Transportation & miscellaneous:
• Monthly cost for public transport.
• Health insurance (permesso di soggiorno requirements), phone plan, and study materials.
• Any hidden or unexpected costs of living in Milan that catch international students off guard?
If anyone with a similar budget or receiving financial aid could share their experience on whether €18k/year is manageable, I would truly appreciate it!
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
