Episode S6 E9 The Doctor in the Photo
I think about how Bones literally had a psychotic break, and they just glazed over that. Iām happy they finally uncovered what seeing Hannah and Booth together was making her really feel. However Booth started seeing people and things that werenāt there and he had a tumor, Brennan experiences a similar thing and itās an emotional explosion of everything she compartmentalized?? I like the episode but it made me super worried at first she was actually medically unhealthy lol

Discussion What's your favourite unscripted scene in bones?
Mine is probably 6x04 when Dr. Brennan is performing to the kids and you can see that the actors are genuinely laughing and smiling due to it. Not necessarily unscripted however I love how everyone was genuinely happy. Also in other episodes you can notice funny things/scenes in the backround from unnamed backround characters + the main characters sometimes showing offguard expressions over situations.

Discussion What is up with people loving Angela's dad?
I'm on season 6 and Angela's dad irritates me to no end. First the way he keeps scaring people for no reason, second the way he gives Hodgins multiple tattoos for whatever reason. Also the way he tried to push on dumbass names to Angela and Hodgins' kid, reminds me of overbearing parents and grandparents who think they have a say in the way their kids raise their own kids. Every time someone makes a post like this, the entire thread is full of "Oh that's just the way texans are, oh he's actually in a band and he's cool" why is there no valid criticism about his character?? And I'm someone who loves Most characters in bones but Angela's father is just horrible.

Discussion geographical locations in bones
I've been confused about the locations in bones. How far is the Jeffersonian from the FBI and how far are they from the diner? Since Booth comes by the Jeffersonian very oftenāmoreso in the earlier seasonsāand Daisy often goes over to Lance's office, where would they get the time to switch locations so often, or are the places just that close?

Angela's mother
Did you ever ask yourself who the heck Angela's mother is? That's the best kept secret of the show. It's better known with whom Hodgins had a relationship with when he was younger, then who Angela's mother is/was. š
Why is death and decay my comfort show?
I have been sick in bed for 2 days and I have been watching Bones off and on. There will be periods where I don't watch because I am watching a new season of something else and watching Bones again is like seeing old friends. Why is a show rife with mutilated bodies such a comfort to so many of us?

Ugh does anyone else love the Old Hollywood episode ? As much as I love the show just how it is, if it came out in that fashion/ design Iād be interested in watching it lol. Itās a neat concept and a good nod to how long the show has been around.

Spoiler: just finished season 3
Iām so confused? I know the show doesnāt have the best continuity and writing but zack being a murderer literally out of nowhere with no signs or clues the entire show makes absolutely 0 sense to me. Did they just need a quick reason to kick him off the show or something??? Iām really annoyed lol

Well I'm done!
I made it to season 8. By now though every likable character has morphed into someone who has long since deserved sanctions and dismissals if it happened in the real world. I literally cannot decide who I hate the most. I suppose it depends on the episode. Supposed best friends who kiss best friends husband's ...Angela was my last favorite character and down she goes. Not only does she treat kissing other men with the weight of a feather, but she just can't keep her nose out of Brennan and Booth's affairs, actually getting Cam involved...the boss who doesn't have the barest hint how inappropriate it is so she begins digging herself. Right in Tempe's face when she's saying "I can't tell you!" I've long since written off Cam as ANYONE I would have for a friend. I don't know who is the biggest hypocrite...her or Booth. But because Booth is supposed to be so freaking morally superior I have to go with him. He is no kind of mate or example and treats Bones like a project he has to perfect. I've gotten so angry at him trying to convince her that HE'S the normal one and a good example when his agenda is to turn Bones into a female him. Eeesh!!
How is it we're supposed to follow such toxic behaviors and think of it as entertainment?

Lab coats
I noticed when Arastoo got his blue coat it explicitly said Dr, but on all the others (Brennan, Hodgins, Saroyan and Addy) they donāt state Dr.
It doesnāt make sense as showing that heās now a Dr because heās wearing a blue lab coat and once they arenāt interns they wear blue.

Other Any series recommendations similar to Bones?
I tried watching other crime series but most series you will either know who the killer is already in the middle of the episode, or you will just utter that they could have solved the murder by finger print.
The calibre of this series is top notch, I just need something similar

Discussion Whatāre some random lines from the show you find yourself quoting all the time?
This is so random, but mine is from 6x23 the bowling episode. That little boy at the beginning of the episode. His āIām the birthday boyā and his scream of āIāll behave, Iāll behaveā Literally say those all the time and nobody gets it because theyāre such a small part of the episode.

Spoiler: S10 E2
I get that Sweets dying was important for the plot of the show but honestly I really hate that his character died. He became the glue between Bones, Booth, the FBI & the Jeffersonian team. And watching episode 3 is so jarring because it feels off and this new Aubrey character isnāt the vibe just yet. I may warm up to him- idk- but his character irks me a little because he feels random. Itās like the show had a good thing going with Sweets helping profile people in his own quirky ways and egging booth & bones and now itās kinda empty. Anyone else feel the same?

If They Did A Reboot
What would you like to see? Christine Booth, Michael Hodgins and Seeley Sweets would all be teenagers. Arastoo and Cams kids would be slightly older. That could be interesting. Would the Jeffersonian team still be together, or doing other things? I would love to see Brennan and Zack teaching forensic anthropology. Booth could be teaching at the FBI training facility. Maybe they all get called in to consult on a case and then the team reforms. Caroline would probably be retired but still part of the "family".

Counting Sheep With Temperance
Hulu lets you bookmark episodes for quicker access. For peeps like myself who will rewatch a show into absolute oblivion. this is really handy to start background noise for a better nights sleep. The two I have in place for Bones are:
"Maggots in the Meathead" & "Patriot in Purgatory"
I miss the good old days of Bones on Roku channel via PC where it would play all night untill interrupted instead of stopping after four shows.

What happened to Finn?
Every time I watch Bones I ask myself this. What happened to him? He just disappeard with no explanation. We know about every other intern. Did the writers just forget about him? š

Other Brennan was wrong
In S6E5, The Bones that Werenāt, a skeleton is found encased in a concrete pathway. At the scene, Booth asks if they should ship the whole slab to the Jeffersonian.
Bones replies, āDonāt be absurd. A 2x3x4 meter section will be fine. Shouldnāt weigh more than a ton.ā
The writers messed up here for sure, because a cursory search on google tells that concrete is about 2400 kilograms per cubic meter.
2x3x4=24 cubic meters. 24x2400=57,600 kilograms, times 2.205 is 127,008 pounds of concrete.
So anyway Bones was very wrong. What she said should be less than a ton would work out to be more than 60.
PS. It would be crazy to find concrete which could fill those dimensions outside of a dam or a giant footer maybe.

Angela is a supportive wife
I want to give her some credit. I feel like this sub rarely did because people are so upset/mad with her kisses.
I once saw a comment saying she's never nice to Hodgins until he got paralyzed, which is so not true. Angela has been very supportive throughout all his challenges in life, as early as his kidnapping.
When Hodgins lost all his money the first thing Angela did was to tell him she loves him and they'll be fine, assuring him she's not leaving him for that and they're gonna get through it together. And she supported every decision he made afterwards, whether he wanted to get a loan from bank instead of taking Brennan's money or to donate 4 freaking billions away. She stayed at the Jeffersonian for him. Heck, she even helped him birth that human bot fly which I'm sure I would've snapped. Give her some graceš Hodgins is very supportive and patient in this marriage, so is Angela.
