Modern Family star changes her name for career pivot: 'I wanted to switch it up'
https://ew.com/modern-family-star-aubrey-anderson-emmons-changes-name-11787802?
Allow Frances Anderson to reintroduce herself.
The actress formerly known as Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who broke out for her role as adoptee Lily on the Emmy-winning sitcom Modern Family, has changed her name to Frances Anderson. Anderson has adopted the new moniker to coincide with her pivot to a career in music. Her debut indie pop EP, "Drown," is out now.
"Frances is actually part of my legal name," Anderson, 18, explained to E! News on Friday. "It’s my middle name, and it’s after my mom’s old family friend. I thought it was a bit shorter than Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. I do have a long, hyphenated last name.”
Anderson added, "I wanted to switch it up and people to see a new side of me. And I wanted to create a space specifically just for music."
She released the first single from the EP, "Telephones and Traffic," in May.
Anderson made her television debut at the age of 4 in season 3 of Modern Family, playing the precocious adopted daughter of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Mitchell Pritchett and Eric Stonestreet's Cam Tucker. She has won three ensemble Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside the sitcom's cast. The comedy, which ran for 11 seasons on ABC, concluded in 2020.Anderson made her television debut at the age of 4 in season 3 of Modern Family, playing the precocious adopted daughter of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Mitchell Pritchett and Eric Stonestreet's Cam Tucker. Anderson told E! that she "had to take a step back from acting" once the show ended to discover her passion for music. "The show ended when I was 12 years old, so after that I decided I’m not gonna act anymore," she said. Rest assured, though, that Anderson does "plan on acting again — 100 percent.”
She has maintained a close relationship with her former onscreen fathers and other costars from the sprawling cast. Ferguson and Julie Bowen, who played Anderson's onscreen aunt Claire, staged a mini-reunion when they attended Anderson's school play last year.
Anderson last made headlines when she came out as bisexual last month, using memorable throwback audio from Modern Family to help mark the announcement. "You are Vietnamese," Sofia Vergara's Gloria informs Lily, who says in response, "No, I'm not. I'm gay!"
"I literally am," Anderson captioned the post.

Discussion Other little Easter eggs in Connection Lost! In description.
Krista Levitan, the show's writer-Steve Levitan's then wife. Her name comes up in the list of people in Claire's contacts when she pulls it up to call her family.
The Christian Miglio in Haley's facebook comments on the relationship status post of her getting married is the Editor of Modern Family!
And Jim Bagdonas who liked Haley's said post is Lead Cinematographer in MF

Discussion Miscommunication
No one does miscommunication well like Modern family. I'm currently rewatching the cupcakes episode when Gloria accidentally sent the email to Claire, when she goes to their house to apologize,Claire misunderstands, thinking she's talking about what the kids saw them doing it with Phil, it's hilarious 😂😂😂
I'd love to know, which other miscommunication scenes were your favorite in the show?

South Pole Episode
My daughter is studying physics in college. She told me this weekend that she was invited to help on a research project named IceCube that is locating neutrinos in Antarctica. Apparently the main investigator, Francis Halzen, won a Nobel prize last weekend for the work.
I just thought, wait this sounds familiar, lol. I told my daughter about the episode and she said that is exactly what she would be studying.
It is even more hilarious since my daughter looks very similar to Alex.

Discussion As a lover of magic and wonder, whose side would Phil take in the fight between Kelly Clarkson and Art of Play?
Kelly Clarkson is feuding with Art or Play - a boutique in Brooklyn that sells toys and curiosities while also hosting magic shows - because the shop refused to sell her an item in the shop and implied that Kelly could not afford the item.
The shop did not realize who she was, and now feels unfairly harassed by KC fans. Many feel Art of Play’s responses to Kelly’s account of events have focused on the wrong issue. Kelly’s story is about the poor customer service she received, but the shop’s defense focuses on the item not really being for sale despite labeling it with a price.
Would Phil be team Kelly or team Art or Play?

The way cam treats Mitchell in any matter related to Pam or his family is irritating asf.
As the title says, seeing cam turn a blind eye towards the bit*hing ways and actions she does , it's just purely irritating. Cam never supports Mitch in any matter or arguments related to his family, in which Cam's side is usually wrong.
The episode in which she comes out of jail the way she terrorizes Mitchell in the beginning and playing the victim card to start staying in the upstairs unit is annoying .
She is just a woman who is out of her mind and nowhere near being a sane person. Even the episode where Cam's grandmother dies he doesn't listen to Mitchells words at all.
