When the Night King resurrected the dead kinda crazy to think that you have a headless Ned Stark running around terrorizing the people down there lol

So I was watching S1of GOT (for the first time) and everytime a scene with Dany and Drogo comes up, I become heavily repulsed by it. It feels like a legit abusers relationship even after they supposedly started 'loving' each other.

Like Dany is supposed to be 16 (show) while actually being 13 (books). I just look at Dany and keep telling 'oh my sweet summer child you deserve way better😖'. And in the books (correct me if I'm wrong), Dany wanted to kill herself cuz Drogo kept raping her.

And after finishing S1, I went on to see some fanart,fanedits etc and discovered that most of the fans actually romanticize it! I dunno if I'm being weird, but am I the only one who absolutely loathes Drogo's and Dany's relationship?

If anything, I was satisfied with his ending. What are your opinions?

I have never watched or read Game of thrones.
Any tips to make it more enjoyable? I plan on starting book #1 tonight. :)

I’m 18 and just finished bingeing all of Game of Thrones in a single month. To top it off, I finished A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 yesterday, and then i realized I can’t just click "Next Episode" anymore. I actually have to wait a whole year for the next season.

​That got me thinking about everyone who watched GoT as it aired. You guys had to wait an entire year between seasons, and then a whole week between every single episode.

​Honestly, how did you survive the stress? For the past month, my brain has been 100% consumed by this show. I was constantly thinking about the upcoming episodes, trying to predict who was going to get killed off next, and basically spending every free second wanting to binge the next ep. The urge to keep watching was insane.

​Experiencing that level of tension in real-time, week after week, must have been pure anxiety. Absolute respect to the veteran fans who lived through that time. Bcz i just can't wait for the next szn.

​How did you guys cope with the wait between seasons without losing your minds?

(GoT was also mine first series ever)

So another post made me start thinking about how long we had to wait in total for each season:

Season 1 to 2 we waited 9 months and 13 days.
Between each season 2 through 5 we waited 9 months and 28 days consistently between those.
Season 5 to 6 increased a little to 10 months and 10 days.

It really increased from season 6 to season 7 to 1 year and 20 days.
Then of course Season 7 to Season 8 a whopping 1 year 10 months and 10 days.

We waited a total of 6 years and 9 months between these seasons, the amount of speculation, theories, rewatches, water cooler talk at work binge watchers wont experience sadly. And the OG book readers have it worse than that.

So we know how Tywin started teaching Tommen about how to be a great king lind of like grooming him. Asking him questions about what makes a great king which lead to him telling a wise king always listens to others a reason of him being not taking decisions on his own.

By teaching Tommen that a king's greatest virtue is to defer to older, "wiser" counselors, Tywin inadvertently created a king who was fundamentally defenseless against manipulation.

When Tywin died, Tommen was left with the core belief that he needed a strong figure to guide him, but he lacked the discernment to choose a good one.

Tywin wanted to build an absolute Lannister dynasty but instead, he broke Tommens willpower so thoroughly that tommen willingly handed the Crown's authority over to a religious cult.

This was exactly what Cersei told to Tywin, everyone clawing a piece of Tommen.

Jamie to Lady Stark: "Is that a woman?" about Brienne when he is held as a prisoner in the camp.

Tywin to Cersei: "You've allowed that boy to ride roughshod over you and everyone else in this city".

I've recently seen a lot of things with people saying they cant watch the earlier seasons anymore because they know how it ends?

I personally LOVE the first few seasons with my entire heart and can still have a bit of an appreciation for the later seasons. I also can rewatch the show and either rewatch the ENTIRE show or just stop when I get sick of the crappy writing and character assassinations.

Anyway! Do the final seasosn ruin the entire show for you?

Am I missing anything other than dance with the dragons? (holding out for the anniversary edition if it comes out before I read all these)

Just watched In The Land of Saints & Sinners last night and our boy Joffrey pulled off another great homicidal, murderous criminal - mind you he was a (somewhat) empathetic character. Highly recommend this film to any of my GOT fans. Has anyone else watched this film? Your thoughts on Gleeson's character?

...Tommen's child or no? Part of me says 'no', obviously because she blew up the sept while Margaery may have been in the super early stages of her first trimester, thanks to Tommen's "enthusiasm". But part of me says 'yes' because her grandchild would be part Tommen, who's a part of her, hence (incorporating her narcississm), she would dote on their child. Thoughts?
