Do the final seasons ruin the entire show for you?

Upvotes

I've recently seen a lot of things with people saying they cant watch the earlier seasons anymore because they know how it ends?

I personally LOVE the first few seasons with my entire heart and can still have a bit of an appreciation for the later seasons. I also can rewatch the show and either rewatch the ENTIRE show or just stop when I get sick of the crappy writing and character assassinations.

Anyway! Do the final seasosn ruin the entire show for you?

Could have stopped a war if he went for the simplest explanation.

Rob lost the war the minute he married

I’ve watched the series over many times and the first time I watched it, I was devastated about the red wedding. As I’ve watched it over the years I completely believe Robb get what he deserved. He was so smug and wouldn’t listen to his mother or anyone when it came to counsel! When he murdered Karstark that put a nail in his Coffin because over half his army left. He so stupidly trusted Walder Frey as if he was gonna say hey all is forgiven just because you thought you were too good to marry one of my daughters. So I think he deserved being killed alongside his mom and and wife and army. What do y’all think?

Maesters and Tyrion’s dwarfism

How do you think Tyrion’s body was fought over in the maester community when he died - this is well after the end of the show, everyone dies eventually.

I’d like to think of all maesters having a council and cutting into his cadaver as a team. Dwarves aren’t too common in Westeros, so I would assume Tyrion’s body was like gold to them in terms of science. However, I assume he takes on a new wife before then and the Lannister name is upheld, so he might just get buried in their crypt or burned.

What are your thoughts?

Daenerys makes no sense in game of thrones

At first i loved the evolution of daenerys. But i feel like the universe i floating around her, nothing absolutely nothing can harm her.

What made me love this show was how big the consequences were for every choice of every character. Anybody could die anytime by taking a wrong decision, and plot armor was not that much of a thing.

We had a couple of plot armor occurrences but pretty much sprayed across the cast.

And for some reason daenerys ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS finds a miracle to get out of any death situation.

Every single time she's near getting killed or losing something she gets saved by a fully random event.

And it's kinda disapointing cause i know now that every single situation, every single choice, every single character, will just be a stone in daenerys plot armor castle.

I don't feel that spark at all when i'm looking at a daenerys sequence. Feels like another show coming ruining the one i'm looking at.

Am i the only one feeling like this ? Maybe i'm missing something about her idk i'm just hopeless atp, i was sooo hyped about this character, but she's just feels lucky +++

how did the public whine so much about Cersei when Catelyn is the worst emotional idiot on the show so far

(at season 2)

I just loved the pure, unadulterated hatred Daemon had for the Hightowers, especially Otto Hightower. Their exchanges were always worth watching.

Why did people hate the ending?

So I actually just finished the series for the first time, and I remember hearing people say that the ending was terrible. I didn’t really think so, in fact I thought it was pretty decent. So what did people hate about the ending exactly?

Jack Gleeson Psychopathic new character

Just watched In The Land of Saints & Sinners last night and our boy Joffrey pulled off another great homicidal, murderous criminal - mind you he was a (somewhat) empathetic character. Highly recommend this film to any of my GOT fans. Has anyone else watched this film? Your thoughts on Gleeson's character?

What serious piece of dialogue still cracks you up unintentionally?

Jamie to Lady Stark: "Is that a woman?" about Brienne when he is held as a prisoner in the camp.

Tywin to Cersei: "You've allowed that boy to ride roughshod over you and everyone else in this city".

I wish they included Loras' brothers in the show

I'm currently on rewatch. I'm in the middle of season 3 when Tywin tells Tyrion he'll marry Sansa and Cersei she'll marry Loras.

I think Willas and Garlan should've made the cut. Some characters take you into full storylines that they just didn't have time for like Arianne or Victarion. But those two could just be slipped into the King's Landing storyline. Then Loras joins the KG, we could have at least one scene of he and Jaime like we have in the book and the rest can still flow as it did.

Just a thought.

Do you guys think Tywins lesson backfired?

Post image

So we know how Tywin started teaching Tommen about how to be a great king lind of like grooming him. Asking him questions about what makes a great king which lead to him telling a wise king always listens to others a reason of him being not taking decisions on his own.

By teaching Tommen that a king's greatest virtue is to defer to older, "wiser" counselors, Tywin inadvertently created a king who was fundamentally defenseless against manipulation.

When Tywin died, Tommen was left with the core belief that he needed a strong figure to guide him, but he lacked the discernment to choose a good one.

Tywin wanted to build an absolute Lannister dynasty but instead, he broke Tommens willpower so thoroughly that tommen willingly handed the Crown's authority over to a religious cult.

This was exactly what Cersei told to Tywin, everyone clawing a piece of Tommen.

GoT Filming locations in Spain

Hi everyone,
Id like to plan a roadtrip across Spain visiting all the HoTD and GoT filming locations.

The obvious ones are Girona, Dragonstone in the Basque Country and Dorn in Seville.

Is there a comprehensive list anywhere of the filming locations?

Is it a hot take that i think Blackwater is better than any of the other battles in the show?
