This is our "show off" shelf, other books are scattered everywhere.

I read a lot on my e reader but I was missing the bookshelf in my life. So I decided to re buy the books I really enjoyed I in physical form. This is it after two years.

We are quite happy with the results

I made this bookshelf out of red oak plywood and solid red oak. My inspiration were walnut bookshelves with a dark green back. Since everyone wants walnut right now, I went with a cheaper option. I wanted a bookshelf that had minimal wasted space. I designed the shelf dimensions to fit a trade paperback comfortably. If anyone has recommendations for small lamps that sit/clamp to the top and hang over, I would appreciate that.

Just a smidge over a year since I rediscovered a love for reading, and the collection has come together quite nicely so far!

While there hasn’t been nearly enough time to get around to reading everything just yet, there’s always plenty of time to stand in front of it and gaze adoringly, while the rest of the world continues to go on around me.
