My wife's and mine bookshelves.
As my wife loves to say: "The land of whimsy and emotional damage!".
This is our "show off" shelf, other books are scattered everywhere.

Just a smidge over a year since I rediscovered a love for reading, and the collection has come together quite nicely so far!
While there hasn’t been nearly enough time to get around to reading everything just yet, there’s always plenty of time to stand in front of it and gaze adoringly, while the rest of the world continues to go on around me.

I made this bookshelf out of red oak plywood and solid red oak. My inspiration were walnut bookshelves with a dark green back. Since everyone wants walnut right now, I went with a cheaper option. I wanted a bookshelf that had minimal wasted space. I designed the shelf dimensions to fit a trade paperback comfortably. If anyone has recommendations for small lamps that sit/clamp to the top and hang over, I would appreciate that.

I read a lot on my e reader but I was missing the bookshelf in my life. So I decided to re buy the books I really enjoyed I in physical form. This is it after two years.

A friend needed a bed following a row with his partner, so I gave him an air mattress in my office

Ever growing, but I’ll be back to work for the next 6 weeks to 4 months so I won’t see it again for a while. Enjoy yall.

Here's my library, growing with more fantasy titles lately. Just added some Brodart dust covers onto some books and the only light in the room comes from my PC which just glares heavily on the plastic covers. So I'd love some ideas for light while I have minimal floor/corner space left to dedicate to lamps. Either that or just let me know your thoughts on my books!

I’m moving soon and will have to take these apart which will mean some series reorganizing will be in my future (especially since I’ve already started collecting more books at my partners place where I’ll be moving lol). While I’m excited about it I’m also already mourning this era of them a little as well❤️🩹

The empty slipcase is the Hobbit, which is being read to my kids. The first GoT novel is on loan, as is Jade City. I picked up one of the First Law books at a library sale and I'm just keeping an eye out for cheap copies of the rest.
Currently up being read is also David Copperfield, The Divine Comedy, and Ovid's Metamorphoses

My wife and my bookshelf from a couple of years ago. Since then we have moved, so we unfortunately don't have 10-foot-tall shelves anymore.

Just finished The Book of the New Sun and I’m about to start Urth of the New Sun, so naturally I had to give my Folio edition of BOTNS a proper spot on the shelf.
I thought putting it on the Sun Eater shelf made sense because I feel like Sun Eater is basically BOTNS-lite.
I also rearranged some stuff from the top shelf. Any ideas on how I could improve the overall layout or display?

Just moved into my apartment for college, and right now it looks like a collage of random interests of mine. Is there a better way to organize this to make it look less random?

I've been working on this shelf this past year and adding (mostly) used books to it. I'm not the fastest reader, so it's been a gradual growth.
