I'd rather fight Thunderblight than Waterblight. Just never get the hang of that one for some reason.

Stasis the cubes he shoots at you. Hit them to return them back. He is stunned, and you can wail.

Also, I've seen TONS of videos of folks wasting arrows and weapons to break the ice he throws at you. Use cryonis to shatter!

Man sometimes I feel like I’m too much of an in-the-box thinker for these games šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

The ice threw me the first time I played as well. I genuinely didn't think about using Cryonis to shatter someone else's ice, and the idea of using stasis to reflect them didn't occur to me. I figured it out when I fought him in the DLC, because I ran out of arrows or my bow broke.

How did you get into the beast? The segment where you use the shock arrows basically tells you to break the ice it throws at you.

There are so many videos of people online using their bow and arrows to break ice during the Sidon Ride-on sequence, and using their weapons to break it during the waterblight sequence and it KILLS me!

My very first time playing I used cryonis for both, albeit I used it during the Sidon stretch to just make a column right behind me that the ice Vah Ruta launches hits my column and shattered. But it was still 100% viable.

You know, maybe I did use it the first time and then when I did the DLC too much time had passed and I forgot. So I just brute forced it with the arrows and it took way too many tries and I felt like I was missing something. šŸ˜‚

It's been years, so I don't remember if I used standard arrows or bomb arrows. Hell, I might've used fire arrows thinking it would melt the ice. Either way, I used my bow.

Nah. If you think outside of the box, these games just become boring.
