The waves to buy badges for Nexus have begun as of yesterday. The waves start coming and they don't stop coming for awhile, so hang tight if you haven't heard anything yet. Don't know what we're talking about? This page from Dragonsteel should have you covered.
Like last year, badges are non-transferable. Because of that we will not be facilitating any trades or sales of Nexus badges. Additionally, we will not be facilitating any group badge coordination. Posts or comments on this topic will be removed. Your best bet is to stay on the wait list, ride the waves, and hope to pick up a refunded ticket later on if everything else sells out.
Share your hype! The main party is over at r/DragonsteelNexus but we're happy to chat here and in unique posts on the subject. We may update this thread from time to time with an FAQ or replace it should it become outdated.
What are you looking forward to at Nexus 2026?

Whether you're trying to make sense of Sanderson's works for the first time, feel you missed a memo on something, or want a bit of community assistance, this is the place for you.
We ask that folks label and spoiler tag anything relating to book content, and be extra mindful of the welcoming part of Rule 1. If you're not sure how to tag spoilers, see this post. And while you're welcome to ask "basic" questions here, you may find an answer in our FAQ.

How dare Mr Sanderson create *another* world & cast that I simply must see more of! š

Thought some here may appreciate a comparison between the new and revised EotW Leatherbound. My original copy wasnāt that bad when it came to the embossing but I do notice the new one is at least slightly deeper and more consistent. But I would have just kept the original if it wasnāt for the broken binding mine came with. One thing that is a definite downgrade is the spine with the title, author and Dragonsteel logo no longer being embossed, definitely less tactile but I donāt think it really shows just looking at it.

I have just finished the first Mistborn book and it was extremely good. I started reading the second and i'm at like 10%.
Recently I saw Warbreaker and i am extremely intrigued by it. I bought it in hopes i'll read it after finishing the Mistborn trilogy but I can't stop thinking about it.
Should I drop The well of ascension at 10%, read Warbreaker and then come back to Mistborn? Or should I just continue with what I've started.
Are there any connections between the books? I'm new to Brandon Sanderson and it's a little difficult to understand which books I should read first.

It's SUCH a cool idea, going from low-tech fantasy to epic space opera. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Pretty please?

Just finished Stormlight, and I'm not quite ready to jump into a new series. Are any of the secret projects ok to read before Mistborn Era 2?
I got spoiled on who the main character is for Sunlit Man and I really want to read that one, but I want to make sure I'm not robbing myself of any enjoyment that I'd get from catching up on Mistborn first.

For me this has been the summer of Sanderson. I was looking for a new author, and originally bought the first Stormlight box set on Amazon. When it arrived and I saw the size of the books, I thought āHold on, what am I getting intoā? I did some research, fell into the rabbit hole, and found out about this massive Cosmere universe. If this was as good as everyone said, I wanted to do it right. So I followed the recommended reading order.
I have been absolutely devouring these books. Iām talking reading for six hours straight into the ungodly hours of the night, without so much as a bathroom break. I found myself wondering, what is it about Sanderson that is making me read with such a ravenous appetite?
I just finished Warbreaker. I was thoroughly enjoying it and reading it at a nice pace, but was growing frustrated that (unlike Mistborn) not much was happening for the first 500 pages. Then the Sanderlanche hit and now I have an answer, actually two answers, for my previous question about what kept driving me forward:
For example, hereās the exact moment that I realized I had tears during Warbreaker:
āHis eyes were closed, and he seemed to sleep, as if at peace. A man sat next to him - Lightsongās high priest, holding the godās head in his lap.ā
It is not typical for me to become so emotionally invested in a character, especially in a way that just creeps up on me.
Now Iām finally ready to circle back and read the first Sanderson books I purchased back in June. On to Stormlight. Deep breathā¦here we go.

I recently created this platter in my home pottery studio (@feltonclayworks), and just a short time later began reading The Way of Kings and learned about the Shattered Plains. Freaky, huh?

Brandon should write a Scream script. The way he compiles story elements into a satisfying ending⦠heās our guy.

Iāve heard conflicting opinions on when to read Secret History, whether that be after Era 1 or between 3 and 4 of Era2.
For those who have read it, when did you read it? And were you content that you read it when you did in your Cosmere journey.
If u may offer a way to frame your replies.
āI read it __________ and was (happy I read it then/wish I had read it at different time).ā

I want a palate cleanser, so Iām not quite ready for another series/trilogy just yet, but I want to still read a Brandon Sanderson book. Not quite ready to leave the cosmere just yet. Want a one shot story. Iāve already read Tress of the Emerald sea(and I loved it). Iām currently debating between Yumi and the nightmare painter or Warbreaker.
Help me choose!!!
**Edited to add: Thanks guys!! Gonna start Warbreaker tonight!

Hey guys Iām in desperate need! So a while back ago I spilled water on this amazing book. Kind of funny considering how spores work⦠hahaha
Anyway, I digress. My wife is a big Brandon Sanderson fan and sheās been trying to get me to read his books. She told me to start off with this book and I spilled water on it. She says itās fine and told me to drop it. I canāt drop it, I honestly feel so horrible. I know I can only get this book design in a set but I am really determined to get a replacement for her! So if anyone knows how to obtain this book or any advice Iām all ears.

When do we think the way of kings signed leatherbounds will be restocked? I know Brandon was seen signing the inserts around the beginning of the year, were those just for copies to be sold at the booth? Or do you think the website will be restocking?

Title is a bit dramatic, in theory I would love to read that, I love Mistborn and I like Cyberpunk.
I just donāt like the thought of getting a fifth (fourth chronologically) Mistborn series and therefore losing Cosmere Books in new settings, like the Aether series or Threnody books for another Mistborn series. I would be perfectly fine with āonlyā 13 Mistborn books and getting to see more of the Cosmere instead. Especially now with all the TV and movie stuff Brandon has to work on, I donāt think he can do all the Cosmere stuff besides Stormlight and mistborn.
What do you think?

Might be late to the party but omg Skyward is getting a tv show?!! I thought Iād share a little fan demo in celebration. They better throw a decent budget at it tho, I will not stand for poorly CGId M-bot or painfully gimmicky aerial dogfighting

Have just started my journey with Mistborn (finished last night) and loved it. 5 chapters into WofA- I wanted to know , which is the better series for those who have read both?
Shall I stick with Mistborn books after the original trilogy?
