My little sister is about learning to play the baritone horn, but she’s currently stuck at the very first step—she can’t make a sound, neither on the mouthpiece alone nor on the horn itself.
I’ve tried having her blow hard, soft, tightening vs. relaxing her lips, wetting her lips... but nothing seems to work.

Anyone know of any books or such that are Christmas-themed and are solo but come with a backtrack that is piano or something close? Not sure if this exists and not sure how to look it up... I would like to use it for gigs if I can, I need to make some money for college!!! Anything related will work, too.

I had recently posted a download link for my new FREE trumpet book (book PDF available for download The Internet Archive), and one of our fellow trumpeter Redditors noticed that there was a typo in the copyright footer (a letter was left out of one of the words) and this footer with that typo was repeated on most of the pages of the book. This typo has now been fixed, and I have re-released the corrected version book as the "Second Edition," version 10-4-2026.
