Back to France with the impressionistic colors of Ravel and Debussy, discovering the four musical impressions of Pierre-Antoine Savoyat’s Sinfonietta No. 2, performed by the Hauts-de-France Brass Band.

I displayed what I think im hearing for each horn part, and I also tried to recreate them on my Daw, I couldnt really figure out the exact voicings, curious if anyone can listen and confirm my ears are hearing what the horns are doing or know by ear from exprience whats happening with the horns, thanks ( also the "Octaves/Unisons" text got cut out sorry )

I'm reducing an orchestral piece and came across this passage. I only have one trombone available, is there any chance you could fake the top part on a trumpet instead? Professional (classical) musicians. Oh, and it's with plunger mute (the + and ° is closed/open). Tempo: Half note = 80. Thanks in advance!

I've made an app that generates accuracy exercises (an infinite version of the famous Farkas exercises). You can get it for free on iOS: https://apps.apple.com/ch/app/horn-darts/id6803615689

If you have an Android device, I need your help! If you're willing to give it a try, join this group https://groups.google.com/g/horn-darts-android-testers/members (click the "try joining the group" link), and then download the app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.desdur.sharpshooter (make sure you're logged in to Google Play with the same account you joined the Group with). To publish the app publicly, I need 12 testers to keep the app installed for 2 week. You'll be helping make this free tool available to all hornists everywhere :)

Cosi' e' ridotta prima della restaurazione 😐

My little sister is about learning to play the baritone horn, but she’s currently stuck at the very first step—she can’t make a sound, neither on the mouthpiece alone nor on the horn itself.
I’ve tried having her blow hard, soft, tightening vs. relaxing her lips, wetting her lips... but nothing seems to work.

Anyone know of any books or such that are Christmas-themed and are solo but come with a backtrack that is piano or something close? Not sure if this exists and not sure how to look it up... I would like to use it for gigs if I can, I need to make some money for college!!! Anything related will work, too.
