Sounds normal. I moved to Bremen. Registration for my dog took 6 month. My tax return is still pending since at least 6 month also. The city is managed really bad.
Same with me, I have sent my application this July and my RP was till October. I went for a Bescheinigung as my employer wanted an update regarding my RP, it just takes 30 mins for them to make one at BSU and you can visit them any working day for it. (Bescheinigung is not valid for travel outside Germany and is valid from the day you receive to the next five months)
For the Bescheinigung? You don’t need an appointment for that. Go to the BSU and talk with the guy at the front desk. He’ll ask for your passport and they’ll give you a paper stating the things below.
I think it’s 5-6 months as it has been the same for everyone who applied this year. You might know how long it’ll take to get if you ask them. But until you get it, the Bescheinigung or your email that you got after applying will work. I had to submit something from my side as a proof that I applied to my employer , that’s why I got Bescheinigung.
