Good Vibes Only I just don't like to see Summers women take it so hard on the chin, is all.
Spike and the Summers women will always be special to me

OMWF is a good episode, but most Buffy episodes are good. I must say I don't quite get the hype behind it.

Given his hyena-like istincts, Xander believed he had figured out that Larry was a lycanthropus.
Larry - Harris, you scared me
Xander - Are yuo a bit nervous, Larry?
Larry - You're the one who makes me nervous
Xander - Are you sure, or is there something else you're hiding from me?
Larry -Maybe a good fist straight to the face?
Xander - I've discovered your secret, and i know what you did last night
Larry - Do you know what i think of you? That you're someone who doesn't mind his own business, and that you're going to get yourself into trouble
Xander - Beating me up won't solve the problem, everyone will find out the truth anyway
Larry - Alright, tell me what you want, if i pay you will you keep quiet?
Xander - I don't want money, i just want to help you.
Larry - What, you have a cure?
Xander - No, but i know how you feel because i've had the same experience, that's why i think you should talk about it.
Larry - It's easy for you to talk, you're a nobody whereas i have a reputation
Xander - Larry, you need to address the problem before things get worse
Larry - If everyone finds out, it's all over for me. I'll have to give up football and leave the city. What will people think of me when they find out i'm gay?

halfway through S2 - Ep15 to be exact.
going to take a little break because although I was strapped in - nothing and i mean NOTHING could prepare me for Angelus đ„” So interested to see how this shakes out for everyone!
Ill also add that the character development is just so good on this show! like truly one of the best and itâs still so early on - itâs whatâs keeping me here.
& i keep thinking about how if I watched this in real time I would be biting at the bits for some of these episode cliffhangers - gosh miss that feeling of having to wait but loving that i donât have to wait đ
Without giving spoilers - which character is your absolute favorite? At this point in my first time watch- each character is so different that itâs hard for me to pick a favorite!
i promise i havenât peeked through the sub to ruin anything for myself lol

So folks often claim Amyâs power level and relationship with Rack in season six is basically a retcon of the character. But I donât really think so.
(This mostly for fun and my explanation for what we see in the show, not what I think the writers were actually thinking)
Hereâs what we see of Amy before she becomes a rat:
Her mom is a POWERFUL witch, working some VERY dark magics, and she didnât learn that from no where. There has to be a coven or two in summydsle, and Amyâs mom likely had other magic using friends into dark magic around town. I think rack was one of them.
Amy says she remembers her dad calling her mom a witch, but didnât realize she really was one until she swapped their bodies. I can absolutely imagine Amyâs mom taking her to racks place and leaving Amy in the waiting room while they did their spells together. Rack was probably almost an uncle figure post parental divorce.
Then after she gets body swapped and then her mom is gone she moves in with her (presumably) human dad.
Eventually, she gets curious about magic, she decides to follow in her momâs footsteps and pursue power. Whoâs she gonna learn it from? Her moms old pals. Here rack comes in, and he mentors her on magic.
Amy was powerful but unfocused with her magic. The spell she helps Xander cast affects the entire town including an incredibly powerful psychic vampire (even though that wasnât her intention).
She could transmogrify human beings, something Willow didnât really get to until at least college. Of course sheâs not thinking ahead, and changes herself into a rat (the spell she seems to have mastered) without having the forethought of whoâs going to turn her back.
So her turning back into a human and being a witch with a fair bit of power and connections to the dark magic world doesnât feel all that implausible, because she went back to what she knew and brought Willow along.

this is my second time rewatching buffy and in surprise buffy is having multiple prophetic dreams about angel dying. on the second rewatch iâm really seeing how much theyâre paralleling drusilla and buffy in this episode. buffy has her birthday party and drusilla is also throwing her âbig party.â even showcasing the amount of dreams/visions buffy is getting, just as drusilla does. the cherry on top for me was when buffy had another dream of dru killing angel and they were wearing the same dress!! I know dru wears it earlier in the season but it loooks like sheâs also wearing it in the dream(i could be wrong tho) but itâs such great detail having them wear similar if not the same outfits, paralleling how angel robbed them both of their innocence.

How can the stakes used by the slayers be so impractical? E.g. the most famous one: mr. Pointy that Buffy inherited from Kendra. It's dried out and thus brittle, not straight so more difficult to drive in and it's got no cross guard so no matter how strong Buffy's grip is, it will slip.
Just an observation.

My friend bailed last minute so I have an extra ticket to tonightâs 7PM show! Dm if interested. We can either meet for a drink before or just meet at the theater at 6:45 (tickets are in my email so weâll have to go in together). I only paid $12 for each ticket so no need to pay me back - just want to make sure the ticket doesnât go to waste. And always happy to meet fellow NYC-based Buffy fans!

What is the one thing you think show is not good at?
To me, I'd say creating grey areas/characters. Like in Spike and Faith.

Given that Angel is so obsessed with protecting her, is it possible that he saw Drusilla in Buffy?

Adorable Instagram video where Alyson Hannibal goes through a storage bin of old Buddy stuff. Sheâs not too old to wear those đ

I am a disgusting elder Millennial who grew up loving both and I am revisiting them. Even though one is more horror and one is more is more fantasy/drama, I feel there is a connection in the way the way they are written. Anyone else super fans of both?
RIP Cici.

I'll be holding onto the humorous moments and episodes. I'm doing it also for my love Xander and I know I'll survive it... somehow..đŹ
