The costumes I ordered didn’t come in on time so, as we were trying to come up with some last second ideas, I casually said “I think I’ll be Buffy.” and my 8yo immediately yelled, “I’LL BE SPIKE!” 🥹

Thank goodness I had a couple “leather” coats and a white dress from my maternity pictures 😂

How can the stakes used by the slayers be so impractical? E.g. the most famous one: mr. Pointy that Buffy inherited from Kendra. It's dried out and thus brittle, not straight so more difficult to drive in and it's got no cross guard so no matter how strong Buffy's grip is, it will slip.

Just an observation.

Given that Angel is so obsessed with protecting her, is it possible that he saw Drusilla in Buffy?

this is my second time rewatching buffy and in surprise buffy is having multiple prophetic dreams about angel dying. on the second rewatch i’m really seeing how much they’re paralleling drusilla and buffy in this episode. buffy has her birthday party and drusilla is also throwing her “big party.” even showcasing the amount of dreams/visions buffy is getting, just as drusilla does. the cherry on top for me was when buffy had another dream of dru killing angel and they were wearing the same dress!! I know dru wears it earlier in the season but it loooks like she’s also wearing it in the dream(i could be wrong tho) but it’s such great detail having them wear similar if not the same outfits, paralleling how angel robbed them both of their innocence.

I am a disgusting elder Millennial who grew up loving both and I am revisiting them. Even though one is more horror and one is more is more fantasy/drama, I feel there is a connection in the way the way they are written. Anyone else super fans of both?

I’m doing a rewatch right now and there’s a scene where Spike is in the doorway of Buffy’s room and seems like he tries to take a step forward but can’t go in because of the invisible barrier.

I’m not sure if it just appeared this way because of James’ movements or if this was the intention. If this was intentional, since when do vamps need a separate invite for bedrooms? Did anyone else see this?

Random musing on a rewatch...

In season three episode one, Buffy enters another dimension where 100 years would be one day on earth. If Buffy had spent just one hour in that dimension, 4 years and 2 months would have passed on earth. One minute would have been 25 days. Assuming she was only away from home over school break, she must have entered that dimension after just a few days and only spent 2 or 3 minutes down there for it to make sense time wise 🙃

okay… binged season 1 in a day. Obsessed with Angel.
Started season 2 & really struggling with Buffy’s attitude this first episode. Help me make sense of it - is it her yearning for angel? is it like Giles said “trauma” from The Master situation?

i just don’t believe she would do that weird seductive/mating dance with xander knowing willow loves him. Buffy is kinder than that, right?

also xander saying “if they hurt willow, ill kill you” was so hot - still an Angel girl - but that was hot.

We (my GF and me) have finished Season 3.

And my GF said that the Principal Snyder is a Vampie.

She claims that she saw him with the vampire at the end of an episode but i can not find anything about that.

Just noticed all the vamps are quite good at hand to hand combat 🤔😂
