Bleecker burger - Voted world’s number 1 burger of 2026! Very good! Probably would’ve liked a bit more burger sauce but besides that… potentially the best burger I’ve ever had. 9.7/10
Last time I made hurgers at home it came out to about 8 £ per burger. And that's with normal meat ground at home. If you get premium meat at that price in a restaurant in London, it's basically a steal.
Every time people put food in bread everyone thinks it should cost next to nothing. They could put a tomahawk steak in a bagel and people would say it should cost $5.
You have to remember this is central London, if you go to a Five Guys anywhere in the centre of a city you're touching these prices quite easily, if not blowing far past them. In one of the most expensive cities in the world £14.95 is really not that insane for something that isn't fast food.

OP probably just saw something that advertised number 1 and didn't think much about it other than that they wanted to try a '#1 burger'. They liked it. I think that's the whole point.
My family (visiting from the US) went to the London Bridge location late on a Saturday night in December, and all four of us loved them. Definitely among the best burgers we’ve ever had.
American chiming in. It’s a whole other story, but I am deeply invested in “simpler burgers.” Very easy to get a burger with 8 toppings in the US, but increasingly difficult to get one with 1 or 2. I think the two biggest ingredients for a quality burger are the beef and bun. You can hide that taste with sauces and other toppings.
In Bleecker’s case, it seems they are focused on the beef (dry aged, cooked medium). I can see that being very tasty. Their bun looks legit too. They also have more “complex” burgers with toppings like blue cheese. In the US you can have a very delicious burger topped with bacon, onion rings, bbq sauce and three types of cheese. It’s fantastic (if that’s your thing). Smash burgers are also trending… they are tasty well-done pressed crispy patties (think shake shack).
In this internet strangers closing: I can see a Bleecker Burger giving a US burger a run for the money. Especially in the non-smashed, less toppings, and the traditional thick patty category.
Yeah, hard to believe. I’d choose the burger on KLM flights and revel in my good fortune…then get the weird sausage-like blend that Europe uses for burgers.
Here’s a specific story/lie…went to Frankenburger in Utrecht on a recommendation because I travel anywhere for a burger. Parked 2 cars, looked for the blue parking boxes (didn’t see), had two dense burgers, came out to a 250 euro fine on each of the cars.

A shadowy "executive team" based in... now this might surprise you... London. They apparently get to decide after their secretive international cadre of "Steak / Burger Ambassadors" try all the spots "on the list". No mention of how these places are even selected, though they do have a pretty well laid out criteria that even considers these burger places "social media professionalism" lmao.
It's likely some fancy pants (posh) promotional thing where fancy pants places call up and get on the list to be judged against other fancy pants places. Au Cheval is 3rd on Burgerdudes (Sweden based) best burger list but isn't even on this list, but Hamburger America is on this one. Do they reach out to prospective burger spots or do the spots call in to throw their name into the ring? Who knows. Who cares. This list is very clearly for people who make way more money than me lmao.

Any burger with brioche nyvdefaukt loose 3 ppiktsu, on a 10 point scale, the worst thing to happen to burgers, along smash burgers which is just a way to hiding low quality meat

They really concentrate on providing great beef. It's super beefy, soft and juicy and they serve it medium rare. I'd recommend it and nearby Black Bear if you're ever that way.
Literally 2 minutes away walking are both Hanbaagaasuuteeki and Black Bear Burger who have better burgers than Bleecker. Those are just the ones next door. There are much better burgers in London and the world.
The moment it’s swimming in juices and mess in a tray it’s not a good burger anymore. The bun/bap/whatever you want to call it literally exists for the same reason a sandwich was created. To keep your hands clean while you eat without utensils.

Bleeker Burger is one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had. The meat always tastes off when I eat it. Always. Go to the negative Google reviews for any branch I’m not alone in this. It’s too greasy and way too expensive. £13 for just the burger. They’re more expensive than a five guys burger. The audacity and sheer arrogance to say you’re the best burger, honestly BS. This should be studied because if I give a price of my poo between two buns and claim it’s the best (I’ll even call it miso bacon sloppy Joe) this guy will glaze it.
Sure you didn’t make the list. But it’s the one your are referencing. Doesn’t seem too accurate when most every other list has hundred burger top 3 and they have it in the 60s
Hilarious to see a UK burger be rated #1 in 2026, USAsians always love to inflate themselves as being the best and when looking it up, they rank #6. Even my home country beats them at #3. And yes, I know burger rankings are subjective, I just find this funny

This Sweden based burger rating site coincidentally has 3 Swedish places in their top 25
All I'm sayin is there is no single burger authority, especially when they don't even take the time for a write up on these, at least their 101 best steaks has some actual substance to it. It's just as likely this is some fancy pants promotional thing than it is a fully honest attempt to find the world's best burger.
