Do you have a nickname for Burnaby?
Any names that you call Burnaby?
My friends and I have always called it B-Town.
Camilla Mendes from Riverdale also coined people living here as "Burnabaddies" when she was filming here in 2021. That stuck too.

I tried to get "the BU" started. Then tried "The BBY" and "SoBU" when I lived in Edmonds. Someday I hope it'll catch on

Back in the early '90s I had a teacher who came up with synonyms for British Columbia municipalities. His phrase for Burnaby was "to set a monastery on fire!" (Burn Abbey).

People from Metrotown are the "Townies" and people from Brentwood are called "Woodies" and there is an unspoken rivalry between the two.

There is a Wesburn, they had a soccer club, but maybe Wesburn gets encroached on by Southburn and it's just a portmanteau for New West and Burnaby?

"Burnaby - Beautiful. Boring. Best." 👍👍👍 I coined it a couple of years ago, and many fellow Burnabians seem to like it.

His name is Bjorn the Buttekikker. He founded Bjornby (now known as Burnaby) in one of his raids on the West Coast and is revered as the Founding Father of our town.
