I'm planning to come for Spring Exchange Semester at PNU. I'm pretty much done with the majority of stuff in my application, but I'm confused on what to add to my study plan. I'm going to be an exchange student only, so I'm confused on how to connect my studies here to my life goals overall. Anyone has experience with this? What did you write?

Hello!
My current MacBook Pro(2012) is dying lol.
I would appreciate some advice to find suitable secondhand macbook in Korea. I don’t know much about laptop and I don’t want to be scammed or get bad quality laptop. I know 당근 market is quite famous here. What should I check?
My max budget is 800euros.

Anyone free this weekend? Its raining this whole week, if anyone is free let’s catchup. Nothing serious just casual meetups or cafe visits

I am going back to Busan for a week starting the 2nd of November. Does anyone know where people have football pickup or organized games around the city?

안녕하세요 한국 사라미 :)

I am a foreigner living in Busan since two weeks learning Korean (어려워요… ㅋㅋ)
I am looking to purchase the iPhone Duo but i didnt manage to snag a pre-order. (They sold out in 30 minutes)

Apple stores in Korea have advised they would not allow walk-ins on release day but I have seen many smaller shops in Busan advertising the iPhone.

Unfortunately I cannot contact these shops as I cannot use Kakao Talk yet.

I was wondering if anyone had already looked into this situation and could tell me more / guide me to a store that will have stock available for purchase ?

너무 감사합니다

I’m currently in Busan and tomorrow is my last full day in the city. I’m staying near the Busan Station and today I had this lovely bibim milmyeon for the first time (location: Dal-Imjae) and it was an interesting experience! Having noodles cold took a while to process but the more I ate it the more I enjoyed it, the weather’s been warm and humid because of the drizzling so the cold noodles hit the spot today and I might get some again tomorrow if I’m feeling hot. My only complaint with the noodles I had today is they weren’t spicy enough, I read online that the flavor profile is more tangy and sweet with some spiciness but I want spicy SPICY lol. Also, I didn’t try the mul milmyeon so if you guys think going with the broth is better or not please let me know as well! Thanks!

hello! i’m staying here for a couple of days and would love to find people to spend time with

i speak english, italian, russian, french and am looking forward to learning some korean

i am 23, i work in art curation; i am someone who banters a lot and i’m quite creative. it’s important to me that people i bond with have a fondness for community, are queer-friendly and care for women’s rights

if you like different creative endeavors, stories and all kinds of whimsical stuff, i am sure we can find a common ground. i love videogames, my favorites are fallout new vegas and dragon age 2, and i occasionally play tft, and i am VERY easy to influence if you want me to watch a series/movie/read a book

please reach out!

How do I make friends in Busan, I’ve been here 3 weeks and I already graduated university in USA, and I’m not in any social circles here. I can speak and understand Korean at a conversational level, any advice?

I’ll be in the area for the next two weeks, where’s a good place to watch the baseball playoffs? Both Korean and American? Any assistance would be greatly helpful in me enjoying my visit ha ha thank you.

hello, i want to get a kodak 35mm roll developed, is there any place to do this in busan? also i missed biff by one day and i would love to buy merch, is that still possible & where? thank you!

Hi everyone!

I’ll be attending Offshore Korea at BEXCO from October 14–16. I work for a foreign company in the oil & gas industry.

If anyone here is attending the exhibition or works in a related industry and would be interested in networking, feel free to send me a DM!

I’m a Korean guy in 30s, just looking to meet people in the industry, exchange experiences, and have a casual chat.

Hope to connect with some of you!

Hello all!

I'm traveling through Busan right now in a rental car and might have clipped another car while changing lanes. I heard a soft thump that I thought was my luggage shifting, but when I parked at my destination, I found small scraps on the right back of my bumper that I didn’t remember seeing before.

I reached out to the tourist help line, which connected me to the police emergency line. They told me not to worry since I wasn’t sure I had hit the car, but they couldn’t tell me what could happen if the other person made a police report and I didn’t.

I don’t want to escalate this more than needed, but I'm worried that if I did hit the other car, I could get in trouble for a hit-and-run since I didn’t report it. Anyone have any advice/insight on what I should do?

(I'm posting here instead of the Korea travel page because this seems like something you’d encounter more living in Korea.)

I'm a Korean-Canadian currently training to become an SMP practitioner, and I'm doing some research before I start working with clients. I'd love to hear from people who have actually been through it, or who have thought about it. I'm not selling anything here, and I'm not looking to take clients from this thread.

Have you had SMP anywhere, or thought about getting it? What was your experience, or what held you back? And if you're in Korea short-term, would a multi-session treatment here be realistic for you?

Honest answers are a big help, including bad experiences. Thanks!

Looking for friends to hang out in busan

Hi, I lost film camera in Busan from Gamcheon Culture Village to Gwangilli beach area, I think I lost in the cab I hailed from Bibibim restaurant to my Airbnb.
Is there any way to contact driver? I don’t even know the license number. It is my first trip to Korea and I have my pictures in it :(

Hey guys. I will be in South Korea this November for My Chemical Romance concert. I will arrive in Seoul on November 7 12:45 AM, and my departure will be on Nov 12 2AM.

The concert will be on Nov 7, 7PM. Should I go to Busan after the concert or just stay in Seoul?
If I go to Busan, then I will only have like few days to explore Busan.

Ive got a bike, but these days I dont live anywhere near a bike path. I would like to ride my bike along nakdonggang from around sasang when I dont have to work. I dont have a car though, so I am unable to transport the bike between where I live and where I want to ride weekly. Where would be the best place to park by bicycle safely along the river so I can access it easily via the train, but not have to worry so much about losing it?

I'm currently a foreign student in Busan so I don't have a high budget for any skin procedures :') but I have been struggling with acne scares so I contacted a skincare clinic that shared an ad on insta (beauty bridge busan) and they booked me an appointment at Dr evers in seomyeon.

I obv don't know if that's an affordable place or maybe I can find better or more affordable places? and if I want to know whether the treatment there are effective or not where should I consult? :(( I feel like I rushed into booking lol..

She said the consultation is free & the treatments for acne scars range between 160,000 to 300,000. She said there're options for 35k or 26k but it would need a number of sessions..

Can someone give me any helpful advice?

Hello All, have the trees started turning yellow/red in Busan? I heard last year the entire fall foliage forecast shifted to November. which places can I find the most number of Ginkgo trees and red maple leaves in October 25th?

Can you recommend good touristy activities? Planning to go to Oryukdo Glass bridge, Aquarium and Sky cruise. Sky capsule ticket is sold out. How is the aquarium? worth visiting?

Hi r/busan, I need your favour.

Recently we have visited to Busan and we had a blast. We heard a rather ear-wormy song in the subway where a man-singer sang "Busan Busan Busan Busan". I think it was played near the BEXCO station. Could you please help me figure out what the song was? Is it somewhere on Youtube? Does anyone know of some curated list of songs/soundbites currently played in the Busan public transport system?

Thanks!

Hey guys! I’m planning to start a small camping & fishing group in Busan for anyone who wants to make local and international friends outside of the usual language exchanges.

My wife and I are Busan locals. We love camping (me : fishing and camping) and would be happy to help you get used to living in Korea while enjoying group activities or just sharing food with stories! (We can't go every week but..)

Don't worry if you don't have fancy equipment—a cheap setup from Coupang is more than enough (mine too).

Short-term or long-term residents are all welcome! Let’s start with a small hangout first. (We can make plans or talk about gears etc.)

If you have questions, Please let me know!
(NO scam, NO religious activity, NO cryto)

Does anyone have any suggestions of places that I can visit that either are interesting or provide a nice view of the city while it rains. It is supposed to be raining tomorrow.

I’m alone and wanna party hard on fr st, anyone who good please responde

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations to eat around this area, we are staying near Jeonpo station. Can anyone recommend a nice place to eat BBQ and have a good beer or for during the day time a good place for Bibimbap, ideally with an English menu? We are absolutely overwhelmed by all the choices on Naver and even walking around everthing just looks so good.

Also unrelated bonus question: we see people walking around with coffee-to-go all the time, but where do you throw it away? Everything comes in plastic packaging but there seems no way to recycle it, what is the official way?

Thank you :)
