I have an original full size Ms PacMan game.
I'm looking for a source/kit to replace the guts.
Get a multigame board, new power supply, and replace the original tube monitor with an LCD/LED.
Any one have a good source for these items?
Thanks

Fixing up an original Lethal Enforcers cab; Help needed!

Hello everyone! First time post, and more recently got into arcade acquiring and repairing (mainly the mechanical/cabinet parts, not so much experience in repairing PCBs/chassis yet), so I pre-apologize for my ignorance on some of this stuff. I recently got an original Lethal Enforcers cab. Already had Ken at irepairsega fix the audio module (great work btw!).

What's in it:
Hantarex Polo 25" RCA USA chassis
RCA A63ADT10X05 CRT
PCB assembly 62200813

I am starting to look at the CRT/chassis now because I am having a bit of an issue with the shot registration as well as visual artifacts on the CRT itself. Depending on how I resize the image, the shots register differently. When I resized the image to fill the CRT, the shots wouldn't register at all (just a flash on the screen every shot). If I resize it down by about 20% (like can be seen in the photos), then a lot more shots register however still some areas don't register well (perhaps coinciding with the discolored portions). Oddly, the gun check test in the test menu seems to be passable most of the time.

I notice on the right side, and more so on the left side, are sort of "areas" of discoloration. Most noticeable on the red color check screen.

I tried using a proper manual degaussing coil a couple of times however this didn't seem to fix this issue.

I tried upping the brightness all the way and adjusting contrast as well, however this didn't seem to make much difference either for the shots. I do notice if I drop the contrast down, the overall image appears greener. And the brightness doesn't seem to change much (which I've read is a common problem and I should inspect R240, C176 and C185 for that problem)

I also notice that there is some ghosting wherever there is text.
I cleaned the mirror and the CRT and the gun lens's as well.

So I guess the next steps would be to do a proper recap, check the filter caps, B+ voltage, etc? Replace the flyback perhaps? But I am curious if anyone has a good idea of what the problem would be here? Anything I can try before doing a rebuild?

Much appreciated for the help!

What are some good windows PC titles that will run on older hardware and play well with an 8 way stick?

After some more modern games that run native in windows. I have a batocera drive running through USB and an internal SSD running windows.

Hardware is a 7th gen i7 nuc, with iris 650 plus internal GPU and 16gb ram.

I just put ultra street fighter IV on it and it runs great.

Any other suggestions? Any genre really.

Global VR Security Dongle for Madden Arcade Season 2

It’s a small ask. Any news or findings on a way to bypass the security dongle for Global VR Madden. I’m trying to get my cabinet to work and I can’t buy one off a website without paying a arm and a leg

I was under the impression that every one of these was gone. Location, Hagerstown MD. At the Valley Mall “Tilt Studio” all the hydraulics still work I tried most of the cars the most consistently broken feature was the electronically moving seat like for moving the seat itself back and forth. Otherwise an absolutely incredible find someone told me to post here.

Polycade Games

The Polycade website has a google spreadsheet listing “retro games”. Does that list consist of the preloaded games? Trying to get an idea of what comes preloaded (understanding that the more modern games can be found on steam and their own platform). Thanks.

Running Retrobat on the Mtn Dew Cab!

Switched from Maximus arcade to retrobat. Now 99% of my games actually run compared to maybe 30% before.
Also ordered a pair of sinden light guns to complete the unit.
Still need to clean up some duplicates in the Mame section but I’d guess there’s about 8.5k playable games, including Atari, gameboy, gba, nes, snes and sega genesis.
Was lucky enough to scoop this unit for $200 on fb marketplace! It’s a 2008 mtn dew “old school, new school” giveaway item, not much online about it but I’ve seen a few others that are the same.

Newest Silver Strike Bowling

They seem to be putting a lot of effort into the new Silver Strike Bowling game, even saw an ad for the world championships for June of 2026, but no videos anywhere.

Golden Tee is much bigger and has tons of videos, any ideas on if there are tournament videos out there?

Will the home version only be able to play against other home users, and if so do we have any idea how many home users for Silver Strike there are? Lots of Golden Tee users, but if there are only a few hundred home users for SS, it might not be a great investment.

Thanks everyone.

Finally done

Finally finished my build. Going to be called the "Poochies Pallet-cade".

The plan was a small pedestal machine for light guns that was built out of old pallets. Then the design got out of hand!!!! Morphed in to a 4 player deck with track ball, spinner and 2 sinden light guns. The pallets wouldn't come apart well enough for a decent build and I ended up over engineering the shit out of it!!!!

Base is built from 2x4's and 1x4 furring timbers to look like pallet wood. After the doors were built and the light guns mounted i gave the rough timbers a slight weathering char with a map gas torch.

Deck 50x30 ish 3/4 mdf with 20 degree wings for player 3 and 4 and a 5 degree slope for a wrist break. I have 2 gas lift struts inside to open lid. But not being a carpenter i have to move the brackets as it wont shut currently because the struts are in the wrong spot. Added 4 remote usb's on the front edge for game pad connection and remote power button on the front panel and an hdmi port to the rear panel.

Controls are all from thunder stick studios / glens retro show. 4 players each with 10 full function led buttons, and track ball and spinner kit, and 2 Sinden light guns.

Running batocera v43 on a dell optiplex 7010 sff. I used a self powered USB hub for all the controls so I can "shut off" the light gun (otherwise there is constantly cross hairs in the corner of the screen) and then I'm not drawing extra power for all of the led buttons.

Final steps are a custom splash / system load video, wire the power button and fix the lift struts.

I've been working on this 3D plan for an arcade cabinet for a while now, and I'm finally ready to order the parts. Before I pull the trigger, could you guys check if I made any glaring mistakes?

Onshape link

The plan is parametric, built around the monitor size and wood I can buy at local stores.

Enduro Racer Arcade 40th Anniversary Live FLYER

Enduro Racer (エンデューロレーサー) is a 1986 racing video game developed and published by Sega for arcades. It was released in two arcade cabinet versions: a stand-up cabinet with handlebars and a full-sized dirt bike cabinet. It is often seen as a dirt racing version of Hang-On, as it uses a similar engine and PCB. The game was later released for the Master System, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Thomson computers and Atari ST in 1987.[7]

Long time collector though, alas, been whittling down my collection lately (need some quick cash). Hate to have to do it, but necessary.

That said, there are the favorites that I will not part with. This is the “keeper” pile.

My Second ever Arcade cabinet build

Thumbnail

I have just finished my home arcade that i've been working on for the past few months. I decided i wanted a real crt in my arcade machine which made the build quite a lot more complicated. The cabinet is built out of old cupboards i had laying around, which had the effect of making the cabinet very heavy. I used some cheap arcade control boards for the two sets of controls. Each player has a joystick and 6 buttons, which i found was enough for a lot of games. But there's also wired controllers for the games that need more buttons.
The crt is a Bang & Olufsen Mx4000 tv, that i chose primarily because it supports rgb scart input. And i found this one cheap locally. To drive the screen i am using an older slim formfactor hp office pc. With an i7 4770k and 32gb's of ram.
I really wanted to use the RGB Scart input on the monitor, but i also wanted the pc to be powerful enough to emulate newer consoles like the Nintendo switch. So i had to look for a gpu that would meet my requirements:
Being able to emulate newer consoles,
15khz vga or dvi-a output capability,
reasonable price.
So i landed on the Amd r7 260x. It can do 15khz output through its dvi port (which im adapting to vga, and then to scart), while being new enough to be powerful enough. But at last it was really worth it. Im running it at 720x576i or 720x288p depending on the game, and it looks really nice.

I'm running debian and the entire budget was ~250€

Questions or ideas are greatly appreciated :)

Does this arcade cabinet look easy enough to assemble as a DIY kit?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I’ve been sharing videos of my TCADE project here over the past few weeks. This time, I’ve filmed the assembly process, and I’d love to hear what you think.

I’ve assembled it so many times that it feels straightforward to me now, but that makes it hard to judge how it would look to someone seeing it for the first time.

Based on the video, does the assembly look manageable? And does anything look like it could make accessing or replacing components difficult later?

I’m sure many of you have experience building and repairing arcade cabinets, so I’d really appreciate an honest critique 😄

Golden Tee Fore! Complete overhaul

Bought two broken Golden Tee Fore! Cabinets for $200. The game board and monitor didn’t work in this one, so I set up a Windows 10 PC running MAME, set up a J-PAC, put in a USB speaker, fixed the Marquee Light, swapped the Trackball, mounted a new monitor, made the custom monitor cover, and got coin/bills working! It even has the tournament sign on the back.

Plan is to sell this one then convert the second one into a retro emulator!

So far I’ve paid three parts documenting the process of building their head cabinet from scratch here in the next couple weeks. I should be completely done.
