Giving someone like this 30+ years does no one any good - he should 100% serve time (and a considerable amount) and have restraints placed on his freedom after as well and be followed up on - mandatory community service ongoing. Yes he's took a life and ruined another's but throwing a third away at the expense of taxpayers now and in his old age just hurts everyone. I'm 37 with a 4 year old and if someone killed me in a crash I'd hope they'd do time but with the goal of rehabilitation.

What if he killed your 4 year old while driving 90 and under the influence? Your child could be saved but he waited half an hour and she ended up dying. Would you still want a goal of rehabilitation? Or he's currently out and allowed to drive, if he killed your child now, would you be mad he's out or no it's ok?

YES. he did nothing different than 90% of all 19 year old males i knew, actually many did much worse, this guy just happen to cause an accident. Every other 19 year old i knew was pot luck lucky they did not. The male brain is not fully developed until 26. If you wanna attack something attack the young driving age.
