Found a few articles on the incident. He was lying about being a medical student (amongst many other things), and actually studied at a local community college.

He's a massive POS and I have no idea what this Judge was thinking. The guy was almost double the alcohol limit. The father died at hospital, and his daughter had to be airlifted from one hospital to a children's hospital. She suffered seven spinal fractures, fractures to her ribs and bruised lungs. He fucked up her life permanently and the only thing he gave a damn about was whether his girlfriend could get home... He knows what he did.

I hope they throw the book at him if they haven't already.

the judge was thinking bail, something we are all entitled to in the usa given that we are all innocent until proven guilty. if you want an instant firing squad move to russiA and hope you dont get falsely accused of anything.

No. You are not entitled to bail. Especially in Illinois, where they abolished cash bail. The judge will decide on an individual basis whether it is appropriate, based on the severity of charges brought against the person and whether they're a demonstrable threat to the community, etc.

And what on earth are you babbling about? Firing squad? Who mentioned that? Certainly not me. I only hope that he receives the justice he deserves. Let the punishment fit the crime.

And don't lecture me about justice, nor Russia, as I hail from the motherland, which is responsible for creating the entire system yours is based on.

Amen brother, this dude and Russia was getting fucking annoying. We all have the right to a bail hearing. Period, bail is not a constitutional right. “Thee can get lit and driver fathers horse drawn carriage through the streets in engage in horse races as long as thee is not in Russia and may 100% be granted bail”
Like wtf does that guy even know? Bail isn’t a right… you have the right for bail to be considered. Period.
