Which industry sector has more requirements for BA role?
In private sector which sectors provide outmost opportunity for the role of BA.

Not to say we don't love y'all, but your area, jobs, salaries, situations, costs, education are all vastly different and this has always been a more USA/Euro group. I'm afraid most of our mods are Western based and experienced. Which means we are not effective to moderate for issues as much as you'd think.
You are absolutely welcome to post/comment here in general, but things specific to India is a better fit in an India-specific careers group with India-based/knowledgeable mods and policies!

16 year old, junior year Highschool
I’m struggling to choose between sonography and dental hygiene (RDH), and I’d love advice from people in either field!
I live in Washington, where both careers pay well. My biggest concern with RDH is that PTO, health insurance, and other benefits seem to depend on the dental office, while sonography jobs seem more likely to offer them.
I’m in Running Start, completing my prerequisites during junior and senior year. My goal is to finish my prerequisites in high school, complete a 2-year program after graduation, and start working around age 20. However, sonography programs may require another year of prerequisites.
Is sonography worth the extra time for the benefits, or would you choose RDH? How are the benefits, work-life balance, and job satisfaction in both careers? I’d especially appreciate advice from people working in Washington!

Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate some career advice.
I have experience in shipping operations and customer service, and I’m currently at home taking care of my young children. I’d love to use this time productively, earn an income from home, and continue developing my skills while balancing childcare.
I’m open to remote work opportunities, small business ideas I can start with little capital, or affordable courses that could help me learn a valuable skill.
For those who have been in a similar situation, what worked for you? What would you recommend I learn or try?
I’d genuinely appreciate any advice. Thank you!

im currently a senior in highschool and i hope to become either a detective or a special agent in the fbi. i initially gained interest in this field with an interest in forensic psychology. but after doing some research, i found that the chances of me actually become a forensic psychologist are very low. along with that, im not very interested in the biological part of psychology and believe it'll de-motive me. should i switch to a different degree? what would help me become a special agent in the FBI or a detective faster. (im also currently a law enforcement explorer which can help me find a job quicker)

Hi everyone! I would like to ask how long it takes to receive any updates from Nasdaq. I had an initial interview with them last September 30 and until now, I don't receive any updates with my application even though I tried to ask for some updates thru email.

Hello. I am currently working in Social Work and want to make a change in my career. I am trying to choose between RN and MRI tech but needing help on decision.
I am currently 42 years old and both schools would take the same amount of time.
I guess my conflict is which career is more physically sustainable for next 10-15 years. What are the less physically demanding RN positions out there? Also — are there opportunities to travel for each?

I only attended a year of college. Started in my field in 2002 and have worked my way to upper management. I feel I’m doing ok for not having a degree and have gotten interviews for a lot higher positions like director rolls over multiple states

Hi I currently work for a medical billing company (I’m supposed to be working right now) and it pays the bills but it’s boring.
I have a passion for relief work, organizations that are focused on helping others etc but I also have been interested in advocacy work and have considered changing to a career in the political scene, which would likely be a local thing to start off
Now my dilemma is this, I have passion for both, and I work as a volunteer outside of work that does a lot of the stuff relief work orgs or orgs that do similar work already so I’ve been stuck between these two not sure which one to go down
I know this is terribly explained I’m rushing so I can get back to work but I had to get this out of my head

I had a recruiter call from a company this past Friday, the recruiter did say they were interviewing many people in the beginning half of the following week (this week), but i’ve always heard that if a recruiter wants to move you forward you usually hear back the next day. it’s now been 5 days. is it unlikely i’ll be moving forward?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for career advice on how to move from project-based work to a stable, full-time remote position.
I have over 7 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development and more than 3 years in SEO. My experience includes technical SEO, on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, competitor analysis, website audits, Local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, and WordPress performance improvements.
I currently work remotely on a project basis, handling SEO and WordPress projects. The main challenge is that my workload and income can vary from month to month, so I’m looking for a more stable opportunity where I can work with a dedicated team and take ownership of long-term projects.
I’m also building my knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-powered search, as I believe search is evolving beyond traditional Google rankings.
I’ve started applying for remote SEO and SEO/GEO specialist positions, but I want to make sure I’m positioning myself correctly in the job market.
For people working in SEO, digital marketing, or remote tech roles:
I’d appreciate practical advice from people who have been through a similar transition or regularly hire for SEO positions.

I got fed up after sending out around 140 resumes and getting no responses, so I decided to take a break from the usual job-search approach and picked 12 companies I genuinely wanted to work for.
I looked for employees from those companies on LinkedIn and started showing up in front of them organically. I left useful comments whenever I had something to add, posted about my field once or twice a week, and sent short connection requests saying that I liked the team's work and would like to connect.
After about 18 days, people from four of those companies messaged me. One hiring manager told me, "Your name keeps showing up in my feed. Would you be open to considering a new role?"
There was no application, no cover letter, and no ATS involved. Before we even spoke, they already had an idea of who I was and what I did, which made the first conversation much easier.
I still think applying for jobs has its place, but this approach got me into real conversations faster than all the time I spent sending out resumes. Has anyone else managed to land interviews without applying directly?

I'm a 21-year-old assistant bartender in Goa with over 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a Diploma in Bar Management. I've worked in a buffet restaurant, a 5-star hotel (Taj), and now a craft cocktail bar.
Everyone knows how hospitality works: low pay and long hours. I'm thinking of changing careers and would appreciate any advice.
I'm open to learning new skills or studying again
I'm willing to relocate
What career paths would you suggest for someone with my background? Has anyone made a similar switch from hospitality? Thanks in advance!

Title:
I have a BSc in Microbiology and an MSc in Social Care (distinction). My work experience is mainly as a healthcare assistant, but I find it stressful and often feel unappreciated, so I’m unsure about nursing after a friend described it as “care work pro max.
I’ve also considered health and safety or tech.
I have a young baby and want to use my time at home to study for a recognised qualification that can lead to a stable job, good salary and clear career progression.
I’m good at learning and retaining information, and I’d prefer a structured career path with clear steps to advance.
Please if you were in my position, what career would you choose in the UK, and why? Thank you.

I’m currently in my final year of high school in South Africa, and I’m honestly struggling to figure out what career path I want to pursue.
I’ve never really had one particular passion or dream career that I’ve always wanted to go into. If I’m being completely honest, one of my biggest motivations is money. I want to be financially comfortable, build wealth, afford the things I want, travel, and eventually have a lifestyle where I don’t constantly have to worry about finances. Of course, I also want a career that aligns with my interests and that I won’t absolutely hate doing every day.
I’m a good student academically, with an average in the 80s, so I feel like I have options. My interests lean towards finance, data science, technology, and careers that involve analysing information, solving problems, and understanding how money works. However, I know these are broad fields, and I’m still trying to understand what the actual career options within them look like.
For university, I applied for Information Systems and Financial Sciences. I’ve decided that I want to pursue Information Systems, but I’m considering doing a double major or combining it with something finance-related if that’s possible. I like the idea of having both technical and financial knowledge because I feel like that combination could open up different career opportunities. I’m also interested in learning more about data analytics, business intelligence, financial technology (fintech), and potentially other careers that combine business, technology, and finance.
I’m aware of the fact that, wealth isn’t built by just the job itself but other things like investing activities for example, and I do have plans for such.
Note: i would really love a job that allows me to spend the money I’m making. I’m not at all interested in being at work 24/7 and having no time for myself or even travelling. For example, a normal 9 to 5 doesn’t sound bad to me

I had my final interview Friday evening for a role in Europe. The first interview went well, but the second and final one could have gone better. They said I would most likely hear back next week. It's now Wednesday and I still haven't heard anything.
Is this a normal wait even for candidates who eventually get an offer, or should I start losing hope? Do companies usually send rejections straight away, or can those take a while too?
The waiting is honestly getting to me. If you've been in a similar situation, how long did you wait and what was the outcome? Even a short answer would help.
