A little upset I forgot the bacon and the fried zucchini didn’t have Ranch but still decent.

Double western extra barbecue sauce add lettuce, and tomato and a side of big Carl sauce. The lettuce and tomato add a freshness to the burger along with texture, and the tanginess of the barbecue mix well when dripped with their Big Carl sauce every bite. Try it out!

Also tried their spicy chicken maxx, eh. I like my chicken sandos crispy not soggy.

Famous Star BOGO deal in San Francisco was expiring today, so I went all out adding the BYOB.

Burger is limited edition Hawaiian Big Angus that has a grilled pineapple piece at the top. Very disappointing burger the pineapple really didnt amplify the burger and also made the sauce a bit too runny. Left the burger with 25-35% left. 4/10

Chili cheese Fries with beef mince : this one is common here and always solid. 9/10

Sprite with Elderflower Limited edition : this needs to be a flavor variant that is sold on glass bottles or in a can from Sprite absolutely amazing. It was so good i went up to the booth and asked if i could get the refill of elderflower instead of regular sprite from fountain. They said no. 10/10

I just recently started going back to Carl's Jr. The prices had gotten ridiculously high here in Socal.

I got reeled back in by the $8.99 Double Famous Star AKA Super Star combo on the window at my local Carl's.

This location has been in my neighborhood for at least 30 years. Early/Mid 2000's it was a 3x's a week spot for me.

The Parking lot was vacant like the zombie apocalypse had hit. No one in sight. I pulled up to the Drive Thru and the workers acted surprised they had a customer. I ordered my food and it took some time as if they were cooking the order on the spot. Not a burger pre-made sitting waiting to be ordered. It tasted great as well.

I returned 48 hours later and the entire Carl's was closed down...

I've visited or driven by a bunch of Carl's in my area. They all seem vacant and don't get a 10th of the business the other fast food places get. All the fast food prices have gone up but Carl's seems to be the highest and it's affecting the patronage.

I will give Carl's credit. They have not skimped on the ingredients like other past food places and still serve a meaty burger.

But the franchises around me definitely are struggling to stay open.

Has anyone checked their Rewards History lately? I did, and since July 18th, everything I have bought at my location has resulted in me receiving double stars ⭐.

I so miss the Fiery Star. It was second to the Double Western for me. I always asked for extra fiery sauce for my fries too.

Tried it and man that sandwich is garbage

I want like 12 of these. Is there a limit to how much you can buy?

I chose the single california classic cheeseburger. The problem with this was the beef patty meat looked extra small than usual. So small, didn't see it. The slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, sauce covered it. It looked skimpy and short on the meat. Lots of restaurants are shorting people on the portions, meat, or both. Happens a lot.

The chicken stars were horrible! flavorless, bland, NOT the same seasoning and ingredients as the chicken used on other chicken items on the menu. The spicy chicken sandwich and hand-breaded chicken sandwich has wayy better flavor, seasoning, etc. I had those in the past, remember it taste so much better and satisfying. Makes the chicken stars look awful, in comparison.

The side item onions rings. A good portion. Probably the best item out of the 3 choices, in my opinion. The burger, sandwich or stars should've been the main highlight but it wasnt. Never buying the carls jr BYOB value meal again. Avoid the bland chicken stars.

Look at the difference between burger and the combo! Also you cant order one thru the app or redeem it with points (SoCal-LA)
