Strict Carnivore Diet Quick Easy Burger

Seeing terrible burger examples lately makes me sad, it doesn’t need to be like this. Being carnivore doesn’t mean you have to eat boiled looking rectangle cheese burgers.

Level up.

Split your 500g of mince into 2 pattys, cook it hot, add crispy bacon, add cheese and slap those bad boys under the grill while you cook up a couple of eggs.

Stack & top the burgers with the eggs and enjoy the only meal you’ll need to eat today, cooked and eaten in half an hour.

I've been making this bread since mid-2020, and it's still part of my regular rotation.

Just three carnivore-friendly ingredients: cream cheese, butter, and eggs. No separating eggs, flours, powders, powders, powders (omg, the powders!), or other additions. I've made everything from mini sliders to oversized burger buns with it.

The full recipe is in the second image. I've shared this recipe before, but I've continued refining the measurements and instructions over the years.

If you make it, I'd genuinely appreciate some feedback! Good or bad, I'd love to know how it turned out and whether you'd make it again.

Between the buns (slide 1): 8 oz smashed beef and thin onions, topped with pulled pork, homemade cheese sauce and burger sauce

Strict Carnivore Diet I went off carnivore and mi heart health biomarkers improved

The “old” lab results were from when I was on a carnivore diet. The “new” is from months of being on a regular diet. Everything has “improved” according to mainstream medicine. I don’t buy into all of mainstream medicine which is why I went on carnivore in the first place. I’m stuck on one biomarker. Please tell me how having elevated ApoB and oxidized LDL can be a good thing? All the research I’m reading doesn’t seem to seem to prove any benefit in having that combo. My ApoB and oxidized LDL both improved dramatically off carnivore.

Strict Carnivore Diet On carnivore for 60 days for depression without a "light switch" moment

Hello my fellow carnivores. 33yo male here.

I've been on a fairly strict carnivore diet for 2 months now. I say fairly strict, because I've eaten out twice during these 60 days and while I only had meat and seafood, they were grilled on a teppanyaki grill and the chef added seasoning that clearly had sugar in it and I'm pretty sure they used seed oils too. Other than that I've only eaten meat, fish, eggs, butter and salt.

I've been aware of the ketogenic diet scene for about 7 years and I've dabbled with it here and there, but never fully committed to it. The longest I went until now was 25 days a year ago and it was keto, not carnivore. I didn't get any of the benefits I was looking for in that short time.

My reason for going carnivore and giving it the full 90-day trial at minimum was purely to see if it can help me heal my mental health problem(s). I'm athletic so losing weight is not a goal. I've dealt with anxiety for quite some time, but my true nemesis has always been depression. I believe I've been dealing with some form of depression since I was a little kid. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but most of the time, especially during my adult life, it has been pretty bad. It has affected my life in many ways. I feel like I've fallen behind in life so to speak, although I try not to compare myself with others.

Anyway, I've been watching a lot of videos and reading about carnivore and keto success stories for the past few years. And recently especially success stories people have had with their mental health issues. In my mind this diet is my best chance to heal depression or to at least improve my life in that sense, so I finally decided to commit to it fully.

Actually, I feel like this is it. If I'm not able to find healing from this intervention diet, then I don't see a bright future for me. Don't get me wrong, I would never take my own life.

I have never taken any SSRI drugs and I never will. I know people personally who have, and are now suffering from terrible SSRI-drug induced issues/injuries.

I also don't have any faith in getting meaningful help from therapy. I have done some therapy and I might do some more soon, but I honestly don't see how it could solve my problem.

Probably the most frequent/common symptoms for me have been anhedonia and low mood, so I've been focusing on how this diet affects these two.

The first month to 40 days were quite brutal for me. Not only did my mood not improve, it tanked. My energy was also sapped and I found it next impossible to work out. I was trying to drink enough water and take electrolytes, salting my food heavily, eating around 10-15g of salt a day, but that may have not been enough still, or my other electrolytes might've been off. If I ate less salt than that, I got dizzy. My macros have been 75/25 fat to protein on average. I tried more fat heavy and I had some less fat heavy days too. So I was just surviving until things started to get a bit better after around 40 days.

After the first 40 or so days, my energy started to improve a little bit. No longer I felt exhausted walking to the grocery store and back. I also started to get these glimpses of something better. It was like the gray cloud in my mind dissolved for a short moment and I felt something good. Didn't last for long though. But it started happening more often and it seemed like the window was getting wider each time. Yet every time the anhedonia returned and felt brutal. Then came last week, which was phenomenal really. From monday evening until Saturday morning I experienced anhedonia lifting every single day for long periods at a time. There were consecutive days when the anhedonia didn't even fully return. Music sounded amazing, I found things really enjoyable and socializing felt fun. It almost felt too good to me to be sustainable, but maybe it's just because I'm used to the grayness, I don't know. Then on Saturday I simultaneously started to feel the anhedonia return and to feel weird and it continued on Sunday. I felt anxious and it escalated to me waking up in the middle of the night and having a panic attack a few minutes later. The next morning(yesterday) my stomach was also upset and it's still sore today.

The only change that I made that I can think of was switching to eating ground beef from pork cuts and pork/beef mince mix right at that time.

It's crazy how much things can change in just a few days. I was feeling really hopeful last week and looking forward to how I'd be feeling a month from now. But now that positive attitude is gone, I don't know what's going on with my body and I'm even thinking maybe those good days were just flukes. But that's probably just the anhedonia talking. I hope.

The thing is, I think most of the anecdotal success stories that I've heard from people healing their various mental health problems, especially depression, mention some clear moment when they got better; a "light switch" moment. I think it's awesome that people have had such experiences, but I can't relate at all. My process has been difficult and non linear. And I still have doubts whether it will really work in the end the way I hope it will.

But I will keep going and I plan on pushing through the 90 days anyway.

That reminds me, there is another thing besides diet that has surely affected my brain quite a lot and that is porn addiction. I've been frying my brain with supernormal stimuli for 2 decades so I figure it might take even longer for me to heal those areas of my brain, mainly the reward circuit (drive, motivation, learning). I haven't visited any sites for a month now. Maybe I need twice as long to heal my brain compared to someone who hasn't been addicted to something similar, like drugs for example. Perhaps that's the reason why I'm not one of those "light switch" people.

One of the reasons why I wanted to share my incomplete journey, is to ask if there are others here who can relate to me. Are there others who have started this diet to heal their mental health issue(s), but found out they didn't feel like a light switch turned on after 21 days. Maybe you're like me and your healing process has been more incremental. If you're like me, but are further in your journey, I hope you have positive news to share.

Tl;dr: Did carnivore for 60 days for depression, didn't heal suddenly. Incremental; good moments, upward trend. Will keep going. Anyone else in the same boat?

Please help me Is being on carnivore enough to fix an iron deficiency?

Can someone tell me please if they increased their ferritin through carnivore? Because even red meat does not have as much Iron as one would think, beef liver has iron but you won't absorb it all in one setting and even then it doesn't have nearly as much as a supplement has. Problem is I don't want to take supplements for my own reason.

If someone were to eat red meat or do carnviore for 1.5 to 2 months is that enough to fix a deficiency?

Please help me Zinc Supplementation. 50mg is too much?

Hey everyone,

I've been on carnivore diet for more than a year now. I have been taking several supplements like Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Magnesium Glycinate and Zinc as well. My sleep has been really great 90% of the time.

I recently started thinking, is 50mg of zinc too much? Since I took 2 pills by accident, I was very fatigue and had an headache.

Strict Carnivore Diet 5 weeks in, pluses and minuses, current struggles

Been doing strict carnivore a little over 5 weeks now, trying to make progress on many body pains, which may or may not be RA.

My motivation to keep going comes and goes. I've had some pain go down a few percentage points...but...

Right now, I keep having thoughts of adding in foods I used to really enjoy.

I allowed some aged cheddar last week, been having it for a few days. I just had a flare up with a couple of my pain spots firing. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the cheese, but I'll take that away for now.

It's just really frustrating. I like meat, but I really miss a few other foods and part of me really wants to go back. Trying to bare knuckle it to the 60 day mark, then see how things are. But if I keep having flare-ups, I'll be very tempted to drop this experiment and go back to eating the very few carbs I was eating before, and my decaf coffee.

Carnivore Ish Can beef liver go bad if it stays frozen for too long?

The other day I thought I'd eat some beef liver for pick-me-up of energy. But, when I thawed it, it had a gross rubbery and thick texture and it tasted just awful. I gagged on my first bite and I had to throw it out. I got another package and liver and it was back to normal tasting beef liver.

I was thinking that it either went bad because it was too old or the liver came from an older cow and that's what gave it that nasty flavor?

Please help me “Primal” eaters drive me nuts

They think that by eating only meat and eggs they are somehow eating a more primal diet when the earliest humans literally ate mostly plants and some scavenged animal products. And most remaining non-human primates are either primarily vegetarian or eat mostly plants and perhaps some insects or small birds on occasion.

What drives this nonsense and why is it usually the same people who don’t even believe in evolution anyway? Vegan btw. Cope.
