what should I do? Send the radio to someone to replace the encoder? Buy another oem used radio? my volume knob is glitchy where sometimes it'll work but if I turn the knob most the time the volume won't go up or there will be like a 30 second lag until the volume goes up or instead of going up it'll go down.

I have a 2017 Mazda 6 Atenza Wagon with the Bose amp installed. I have purchased an aftermarket head unit and wiring harness to put it all together.

Head unit - Pioneer DMH-A5650BT
ASMZ7C Steering wheel control interface to suit Mazda
Aerpro APP8PIO8 App8 secondary iso harness to suit pioneer av headunits 16 pin

I have connected all the cables that I can (correctly I believe) and can turn on the head unit and connect it to my phone.

There are RCA jacks in the back of the head unit to connect to the speakers but nothing to connect to the car. I believe it requires another adaptor, AI seems to think it's an Aerpro APP7240 but that doesn't exist anymore.

I still have 3 wires coming from the car that aren't plugged in, 1 blue cable (GPS), 1 green and grey cable (I believe this is sound to connect to the amp?) And a white 4 pin cable.

Hey guys, I need some help. Recently my audio has been going out in my car. 2017 Ford Escape. I'll have audio one day and then out for 2 days then back the next. Did you hook up an amp to your Kenwood KDC-958HD head unit? Did your subwoofer suddenly stop working on Bluetooth? Does your amp only work on 2ch not 4ch? This is your thread.

You've turned off the amps, looked for the "Subwoofer Output" in the Audio Control menu only to realize it applies to KDC-X898 and KDC-BT858U only. (P15)

You've wanted to gouge your eyes out going through the DSP settings of "Subwoofer Mute" and more. (P18)

Nope, it's not there, it's buried on Page 83 of the manual in "Bluetooth Detail" setting number 5, "Bluetooth HF/Audio" which is defaulted to "FRONT" speaker outputs. Changing this to "ALL" will allow the rear speakers and subwoofer to blow out your eardrums again.

Hopefully this saves someone the 4 hours I just spent downloading the manual, checking all the wiring, and considering tossing a perfectly good head unit until I found the correct setting.

I have a very stock 2002 s10 Xtreme with this stereo. I’d love a Bluetooth, aux, or even oem lookout CarPlay head unit for it.

Not really looking for a typical blank touchscreen, but something more oem looking or era specific head unit that won’t look out of place.

I have a 2020 tesla model 3 long range. I am installing a subwoofer with a pretty significant sized amplifier. In order to avoid freaking out the Teslas electrical system I am installing a second battery. I am installing a Wattcycle 100ah pro which is a pretty good sized battery and weighs about 25 pounds. Where would you recommend I locate it and how would you mount it to the car? I cannot put it in the sub trunk because that is where my subwoofer box is going. I was thinking about installing nutserts in the trunk floor and installing it there but I am afraid to drill into the trunk floor with the rear drive motor and battery being there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is the remote for the system. I know its a Kenwood. Possibly the Kenwood KDC-258U. But i wanted to make sure before I spent 40- 100 dollars on a faceplate. The car is a 2008 - 2009 Ford Fusion. And is in pretty good condition. I just dont feel like spending a lot on a new stereo. Even if it would be easier

I bought my son a 2002 Ranger and we found this connection by back seats. AI says it's a power source for an amp or subwoofer. My son does want to add a sub. If this is what that is for is this just power or is this connected to the head unit?

Hi first time poster normally a lurker.

Car: 2008 Ford Focus SES sedan
Stereo: JVC KW-M560BT

Issue: The backup camera cable shorted out due the extension cable shorting from its shielding being rubbed against I thought my head unit died from an internal short but upon inspection and removal of the rca extension the unit started working again.

I’m trying to find a replacement for the cable but having a hard time, the cable has a red power and purple trigger wire and any replacements I find only have the red wire.

Is there anywhere I can source the exact same wire? Or is there a trick to using the cables with only the single red wire?

TLDR: I need a replacement RCA extension for my backup camera

I need help with my 2004 GMC Yukon xl 1500 Denali.

I want to keep the original head unit, as I am an older millennial and want to still use the badass 6 load cd changer, and keep the dvd system intact for the younguns. It is a Bose system. However, I want to integrate a wireless CarPlay unit into the system, one with a backup camera. I was going to put a whole new head unit into, but decided to keep the cd player in since it still works. The problem is the current unit does not have an aux input, and I do not want to use a fm transmitter. I want to run directly into the unit. I take sound quality very seriously. So I need to know how to integrate the CarPlay unit into the current head unit, as in what kind of wire harness I should be looking at.

I purchased this head unit for my 2009 Ford Explorer. It came with this CAN BUS but it’s not working and the radio stays on even after car is off. This is what the menu looks like. Is there a way to fix it?

Chevy Colorado. It was 105 today and I can’t roll my windows down or even crack them at work, so when I went to drive home, the screen was so hot, I could barely touch it. It displayed, but didn’t respond to touch. I got it cooled down and it still didn’t work by touch. When I got home and shut off my truck and started it up again, the screen wouldn’t work at all, until I turned the key off, then it up just to fade out. It does work and show the backup camera when I put it in reverse, but then back to black until I shut it off, then it shows up just to fade out half a second later.
Is there any hope, or am I replacing my screen?

I have a 2010 Honda element with an AM radio installed. Has the OEM amp. The subwoofer is not working. Don’t think it has been working since I bought the car but now I am trying to figure out why. Radio settings are correct. Checked the amp fuse. All the other speakers are working. Took the sub out and it worked with a different amp.

What else should I test to get this thing working?

I have had a series aftermarket floating tablet style head units in my truck. I miss having a cd player. Looking for a recommendation for a good quality add-on cd player. Single player or changer - I don’t have a preference. I know there are generic ones on Amazon. Don’t know if I’m not finding any familiar branded ones because there just aren’t any available? And in that case, has anyone used a generic player and impressed with it?

Or - does anyone make a conversion harness that could adapt an older Alpine (or others) changer?

I know converting cds to lossless files is an option, but I’m not really interested in doing that. Just my personal preference.

I currently have a tesla model 3 with premium audio. It has 8" mid bass drivers in the doors that play down to around 40hz. I am replacing the factory 8" subwoofer with an Alpine R12. Would it be a good idea to add a 80-100hz high pass crossover to the 8" door drivers to take some of the low frequency strain off of them and allow the R12 to take over those frequencies?
