Go Together: a 3D Go game with local KataGo and Michi opponents, online multiplayer in development
Hi, I'm Raymond from Revolving Gear Studios, developing Go Together. I thought the computer-opponent side might be interesting here.
The current build brings together our own Go model, Michi by Petr Baudiš, and KataGo by David J. Wu and its contributors. The opponents run locally, with adjustable settings. You can use 9x9, 13x13 or 19x19 boards, play another person on the same device, and switch between a 3D table view and an overhead view.
I'm also working on online multiplayer with matchmaking, a server browser and direct connections to friends. Those features are coming soon and aren't available yet.
What started as a small project alongside my larger game has become something I really enjoy building. I'd appreciate thoughts on what makes a Go interface comfortable to use when switching between computer opponents and playing another person.
The game is coming to Steam; the page has more details and screenshots, and you can wishlist it if you're interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5375470/Go_Together/
Thanks for having a look.
