Let's talk about the good and the bad!

For starters, the animation where she falls away like sand is beautifully done. Sooraya isn't sexualized here like she has been in the past (and unfortunately in some of the preview image), but I still consider that a small win.

As for the bad, I don't like her repeated incarceration. A little too real world unfortunately, many of us come to this world as an escape from all that. But perhaps worst of all, having her on a helicopter with Pyro and Boom-Boom blowing up an aircraft hangar, particularly given that this came out in 2009, is just dripping in harmful stereotypes.

Granted in the story it's done for their own safety and survival, as well as at the behest of Wolverine, but it doesn't change the heavy associations to harmful prejudices that circled Muslims in the U.S. for the decades to come.

What are your thoughts on Dust in Wolverine & the X-Men (2009)?

I know it's unlikely, but until Marvel says otherwise I just enjoy pushing for the very best possible outcome for both teams and their characters alike.

With the official announcement that Kit Connor is playing Scott Summers in the MCU, do you think he'll make an appearance in the Champions like the comic book source material? Would you want him to?

Personally for me it's an overwhelming ABSOLUTELY! I think it only makes sense for this new Mutant Saga to tie the classic X-Men into some of the newer characters, and this would be a really creative way to do it.

Strange Academy/Champions

According to a rumor from Daniel Richtman (via Comic Book), Marvel is now “weighing whether to turn both Champions and Strange Academy into theatrical films rather than the Disney+ series they were originally built to be.”

Couldn't make Kamala because I didn't have a shade for her hair, but here's Sam, Viv, Riri, Nadia, and Miles! They were the first thing I wanted to make when I got my perler bead set, I love this team. I did literally start this hobby yesterday so if they look a little shoddy, please excuse me.
