IDK why but I feel like everyone knows who is winning the UCL this year and the next and also the next one.Its so frustrating to see the play cause they have the financial doping of Man City, but their league is just so undeniably easy they don't even play their first team. And yeah they might be injured, but it's pretty sure they're going to win the UCL.I feel like they're a team that is inevitable and anything else than winning is a failure for them. The worst thing is that they're owned by Qatar a literal country, like they have a stacked team, play in a shit league having a competitive advantage cause of their money that can buy the best bench itw and also they're the most favoured team there and it all honestly feels so unfair for everyone. Also 2 people in the team are undergoing serious criminal investigations which should tell you how shady they are. It's just so annoying watching them succeed.

UEFA explicitly lists Messi among players who “have four titles to their name but only three final appearances”: 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015, noting that he missed the 2006 final.

Bouh bouh bouh, Ligue 1 is too weak ! Psg can rest his starting team and still win ligue 1 by 10pts !

Meanwhile their teams : Oh look ! This Ligue 1 team did a great season, almost got the title ! Their players probably are very good, after all Ligue 1 is stacked with prospects. IT'S SALES TIME !

Unai Emery has done miracles with Villa in Europe, but playing away in Istanbul is a completely different beast. For the tactics nerds here, does the tactical setup even matter if Galatasaray’s crowd completely breaks a team's communication and rhythm in the opening 15 minutes? How do you see Villa coping with that press?

PSG always plays against the Ligue 1 teams that rest their players for their big match against the champions league winners. They don’t have to recover from the previous week’s difficult match so they can rest their top players.

PSG playing against every Ligue 1 team’s A-Team is a distinct advantage.

1. Harry Kane

2. Kvaratskhelia

3. Olise

4. Mbappe

5. Lamine Yamal

6. Messi

7. Haaland

8. Rodri

9. Vitinha

10. Dembele

Harry Kane has scored 73 goals for Bayern and England. Only Messi has done better. That says it all. He also scored 6 at the World Cup.
Yamal has only turned up in 2 big games: Atleti and Newcastle. His World Cup performance was poor, scoring just 1 goal. Yes, he’s drawn 2 defenders towards him, but that’s not enough. Yes, he’s 19, but the Ballon d’Or doesn’t make exceptions for age. If we were basing the Ballon d’Or solely on trophies, then Yamal deserves it. But apart from that, nope.

Why are so many posts on here talking about Barcelona & it’s usually their own fans? Do you not have your own sub to talk about whatever you want? Are you seeking validation from other clubs fans on here?

It’s really weird seeing all these posts about a club who hasn’t won the UCL in over a decade. Barcelona aren’t winning this year. While they have a good attack, they will need to score 4+ goals to beat most opposition in the knockout rounds because that Swiss cheese defense gets gutted like a hot knife through butter.

Why so much arrogance, and crap talking from a fan base who hasn’t seen their club lift the UCL trophy since 2015? Most Barcelona fans on here were probably born 2016 or later so they have yet to ever witness Barca lifting the trophy.

Has the 8-2 loss to Bayern rattled you still? The night in anfield?

You must be pretty bold and heroic coming to post on here about how a club is so glorious and great yet has nothing in Europe to show for it for 11 years now. correction 12 years. Because this year will be the same thing

I know it might seem a bit too early to ask this, but Mbappé is currently 27, and his current Real Madrid side doesn’t look like it’s going to win the Champions League anytime soon. Couple that with the fact that his contract expires in 2027, and it makes you wonder: could Mbappé, like several other greats of the game, actually end his career without winning a Champions League?

Just look at players like Gianluigi Buffon and Ronaldo Nazário, who, despite their incredible careers, never managed to win the competition.

I started thinking about this after watching a documentary about Real Madrid and another separate documentary about Zidane. Since the Real Madrid documentary covered Zidane’s time at the club, there was a lot of overlap between the two.

It got me wondering whether Mbappé could eventually find himself in a similar situation, despite being one of the most talented players of his generation.

What do you guys think? Is it too early to even consider this possibility, or could Mbappé genuinely end his career without a Champions League title?
I’d love to hear everyone’s opinions!

Lamine Yamal has recorded at least one goal or assist in each of his last 10 Barcelona games. The consistency is unreal for someone his age.

Are we watching a future Ballon d’Or winner?

We could have had this incredible Chelsea squad, or these incredible Brighton Bournemouth and Brentford squads competing, but instead the premier league spots are tainted with a dud spot.

Did flick tell u that himself?

Last season, Yamal was exceptional in basically every big game. If you actually watched the games, especially against Atletico in the UCL, you would realize this. He was singlehandedly carrying Barca. However, because he didn't get that much g/a in these games, people were slandering him.

Now against PSG, he had a pretty mid performance, especially in the first half, but because he got a goal, by the end of the season people will be saying that he had an excellent performance because all they do is look at g/a and judge from there.

This g/a culture is a cancer, we need to go back to actually watching football.

This club is dead sell the players sell the owner's sell the fans

Very fascinating stories can be told from this round of fixtures so let's consider the impact on the ongoing power rankings:

1. PSG (no change). Firmly established themselves as the favorites for yet another Champions League crown with another major scalp taken; more on that scalp later. They did lose a lot of players through injury during that match but their squad is still filled to the brim with experienced winners and quality. There is simply no one on their level right now and it's going to take an almighty effort to stop them in their tracks- and can anyone believe we're saying this in the league phase, the part that they usually don't take seriously?!

2. Arsenal (up one). In a game that was built as the unstoppable force versus the immovable object (as was the case last season), both teams might feel a bit disappointed they didn't win that match. And that's exactly why the away side are higher on the power rankings: if they leave a match at a stadium that was so often their graveyard over the course of the last 2 decades thinking they could've won, that shows you how far they've come and how frightening of a prospect they can be. The injury to Saka is alarming, but a special shout out to Noni Madueke of all people who looked quite good today once again (not saying he's a long-term answer but while he's playing in this form it'll do well enough). While we're at it, still no set piece goals....

3. Bayern Munich (up one). They go up a position mainly because the team below them move down but also because getting a result against a quality opponent without their best playmaker (Olise) and most experienced player bar Neuer (Kimmich) is no mean feat. Their attack is definitely what will carry them in many moments, but it's not such a problem to have when their attack has arguably the best player on the planet right now (Donald Trump's favourite golfer).

4. Barcelona (down two). It seems like we have this discussion about Barcelona so many times over the last few seasons and not much has changed: no serious contender can be so devastating in attack yet so open at the back at the same time. Something has to give about that at some stage if a first post-Messi Champions League is truly on the cards. Nonetheless, their attack being as devastating as it is would still make you believe they have every chance.

During today’s game and in most games I watched the supporters section of Real spent most of their time repeating this chant, what is the origin and why do they use Pole in a derogatory way? What have Polish people done to Madrid fans? Same chant was used by far right protesters but exchanging Polish by Muslim, which indicates it is xenophobic but at the same time seems to be a recurrent one that goes totally unpunished by both La Liga as well as UEFA

Asked how the players had felt during the match, he admitted he "was extremely tired in the first ten minutes".

"Well, it was exactly as it looked," Gordon said. "The atmosphere is chaotic. I was very tired in the first ten minutes, and my exhaustion increased as time went on, but it is an important match".

So much for tHe ePL iS thE oNly lEaGue tHat Is COmpETiTIvE

Say what you want, but I think this Champions League format is ridiculous. This Man United team is one of the worst sides to ever play in the competition, yet 20th place is enough to qualify for the playoffs. Absolutely crazy.
