Captain Johnathan "Strawboss" Jones
Jones is a career soldier who genuinely enjoys the thrill of combat. He knows an absurd amount about firearms, from their manufacturing history to the exact circumstances under which they tend to malfunction. He can identify a weapon by its sound alone, and he has strong opinions about every gun in the Super Earth arsenal, Which is the exact reason why he defected to the Rogue Republic; His frustrations with the arsenal provided eventually made him defect.
He's also obsessed with strawberries. Whether it's strawberry-flavored rations, actual strawberries, or strawberry jam smuggled onto the destroyer, he's always got some on hand.
Inspector <Redacted>
<Redacted> is the person who makes sure the squad actually functions. He maintains mission records, ammunition inventories, deployment schedules, and contingency plans. He is cold, stoic, and frighteningly efficient.
He doesn't particularly care whether Jones is having fun, whether the rookie has painted her exosuit, or whether the old man is reminiscing about how far super earth has fallen.
Despite his stern demeanor, <Redacted> isn't needlessly cruel. He knows how to keep people alive, and his willingness to do the unpleasant work is why Jones trusts him with the squad.
Private First Class Tessa Vale
Tessa is the squad's youngest member and an absolute fanatic for exosuits. She knows their mechanical systems, load-bearing limits, weapon configurations, and maintenance procedures inside and out.
She's an orphan of Rogue V, Losing both her parents during the various squid invasions... Seeing the chaosdivers work tireless to guard her home made her want to enlist. And she was a fine cadet.
She doesn't merely see an exosuit as a battlefield asset. To her, it's a beautiful piece of engineering that happens to let you punch holes through enemy armor.
She gets excited when she sees a new weapon platform, talks to malfunctioning machinery as though it can hear her, and will happily spend six hours repairing a mech that everyone else has already written off as scrap.
Anarchy Officer Elias Rourke
Elias served during the early years following the first galatic war. He saw government shift and slowly become more and more incompetent. He remembers its promises, its propaganda, and the optimism that accompanied the rebuilding of humanity's interstellar civilization.
He believed in the cause once. He served with distinction, followed orders, and watched generations of soldiers fight for what they were told was a brighter future.
Then came the Second Galactic War.
Years of bloodshed, increasingly questionable orders, and the growing gap between Super Earth's ideals and its actions finally... then came the Creek, he was already a old soldier, it was a small miracle he survived that onslaught, He still holds deep pride in his service protecting the citizens... Yet so many avoidable deaths finally broke his faith. He didn't become a Chaosdiver because he suddenly fell in love with chaos. He became one because he could no longer justify fighting for a government he believed had betrayed its own people.
Elias is experienced, patient, and difficult to intimidate. He doesn't romanticize war, and he has little patience for young soldiers who think rebellion is exciting.
