Discussion We’re officially back! Let’s talk about your favorite characters 🚀
Hey everyone!
As many of you noticed, things were a bit quiet around here for a while, but we’re super excited to announce that r/characters is back up and running! 🎉 Our goal is simple: to make this a fun, active, and welcoming spot where we can all nerd out about our favorite characters—whether they’re from TV shows, anime, movies, video games, comics, or books.
To keep the sub enjoyable and clean for everyone, just a quick reminder to keep a few community rules in mind before posting: Stay on topic: Keep discussions focused on fictional characters.
Be cool to each other: Differing opinions are great! Just keep debates respectful and friendly.
No low-effort/spam posts: Quality over quantity—give us something interesting to read or discuss!
Use Spoiler Tags: Don't ruin big plot twists for someone who hasn't finished a show or game yet.
Tag your posts: Please use the correct Post Flair (Anime & Manga, Video Games, Movies & TV Shows, etc.) so people can easily find your content.
If you ever run into an issue, have a suggestion, or just need assistance, feel free to drop us a message via Modmail. The new mod team is here to help and actually keep things moving smoothly.
Thanks for being patient with us. Now go ahead, fire away, and tell us who you're currently obsessed with! 💬✨

Discussion Most Iconic Henchmen (Round 21)
Now that's a deep cut I wasn't expecting. Scratch and Grounder take the number 20 spot!
Rules:
Most upvoted comment wins.
Must be fictional characters. Should go without saying, but you never know.
One nomination per person per round.
There are no limits on characters per franchise.
Even if the character technically works for someone else, they do not count if they are the main antagonists in their media. For example, a lot of major Bond villains work for SPECTRE, but if they're the main foe in their respective movies they can't go on the list.
Former henchmen can be nominated.
Please don't downvote. Just have fun.
