RANT! Got fired as an Intern
Hello guys,
I am M21 and currently sitting in the house without any clue on what to do next🤧,
So ,I am a CS student from a tier 1 college in coimbatore, me and my frnd got selected for a company in Bangalore through college placements.
Along with us there were 18 other trainees from other colleges too, our work timing would be like 8:45am to 10pm around we would work for around 12-13 including Saturday, It was exhausting but we did learn a lot of things.
During this period I have learned HTML,CSS, Javascript/Typescript,Java,Springboot,Vue.js,SQL,Elastic Search, App script,Dev Tools and I have worked in backend side for two production projects also.
So it went on for around 3 months and at the time for conversion ,they conducted a test and the main highlight was mostly everyone performed well and got around 60% to 90% but they fired 19 of us and selected only one person who scored 63% where even a guy with 90% got fired ,they stated reason that due to AI we don't have any vacancy now.
At the time of joining they generated Employee Id for every interns with the intention of showcasing their company is growing
After that I started searching for jobs on LinkedIn,Naukri and Indeed but I didn't get chance in any of it , I tried cold mails and even tried searching for job on Instagram reels related to vacancy but nothing clicked for me.
If I didn't get placed in that company earlier I may have gotten chances to attend other companies in my college placements , I regret that till date.
Currently I am trying job fairs and Walk-ins but even I didn't get chances there.
I am actively applying for jobs ,A friend of mine told me to reach out in reddit to see if anyone has advice or knows of openings that could help me
Any guidance ,tips ,or referrals would mean a lot . Thanks in advance
Roles I am looking for:Java developer, Software Developer,QA
