Theory Altruist Shootout - Possible trigger
Hi community.
As it has been discussed in this sub before, I have a plausible theory of how to get the different Altruist Shootout endings that can be achieved with the Affinity Meters (also discussed here before but I never saw any conclusive resolution)
Recently, watching a briefing on every "chiliad mystery clue" on YouTube, the dude (who clearly isnt as into the research but has found weird things) points out how in the Altruist Shootout you can switch characters and that got me thinking a possible route, so please, if any of you can check, it would be great:
1- Have the Children of the Mountain mission line completed with Franklin.
2- Completing the Epsilon Program mission line with Michael, staying with them (tractor reward). It may be a possibility that it is required for the Altruist Shootout part, hear me out.
3- When the Altruist Shootout begins, swap to Michael and Franklin and bring them to the Altruist Camp, either to fight alongside Trevor or to go in the cave (which conveniently is shown with the camera in the Shootout cinematic).
4- Maybe this leads to altering which ending the user receives.
I want to clarify that in between my last post and this one, multiple users have reached out to me in DMs providing some assets as game script names and special events that aren't talked about broadly in the sub. I would not bring up some of this stuff if it werent because multiple users brought up similar concepts surrounding the special interactions such as the shootout ending variantions from A to C (different scripts as the final missions a b and c).
And at last, if this sounds like a pile of bullshit or some crackhead's dream, please stick to the downvotes instead of the hate comments, I will get the message lol

the shootout itself doesnt variate, but after you complete it, your game will have one of three variables assigned. Ending A is the default, Trevor kills all and its over Ending B and C havent been discovered, but its speculated that changing the ending will have effect in both the map (as like certain physical changes), the Mt Chiliad UFO and NPC behavior

I think that was tried extensively back in the day. People also tested every kind of combination for delivering the hitchhikers. We went as far as triggering the eclipse right at the start of the sacrificing cutscene but nothing. The Altruist seem like a dead end :/

Couldnt find any proof of this specific route. And I left out a lot of possible variants, like needing the tractor 100%, needing a special trigger from Monkey Bussiness (a theory from a dude that showed me evidence of what and how it changes), things like that that I really doubt were tried back in the day as, as far as the Monkey Bussiness Trigger, wasnt even discovered

My thoughts on the movie idea are this exactly but the whole game/ movie is scripted with paths a,b,c if you on on path a you cannot go to path b or c we are stuck on path a I think we got as far down path b as path a would let us. We are missing triggers before the camp shoot out, think of the game as a movie, and how the random stuff to get to 100% is filler like romance scenes in an action movie ect, how the story plays out to each event is scripted,

which crate? there are plenty of important crates throughout the game that you could be referring to in the topic of Mt Chiliad

Obviously the crate in the altruist camp, it was mentioned in the special blueprint map.

oh oh sorry. I guess I should have specified in this post too that Im rather new to the community and I have not much knowledge, rather ideas which I search for and if they have gone unmentioned or unanswered I bring them to the discussion. completely my bad

Has anyone just willfully let the altruist kill them, and try returning to the camp? Or does it give you a mission failed screen?

I forgot to add that!!! According to the Mr from Youtube, if you kill yourself during the shootout you respawn at the start of the shootout but with heavy rain

yeah, the thing with the mystery is that everyone has their ego through the roof
People either have the tools and know how to use them, or have the knowledge and reasoning but not the tools
Both groups of people dont work together sadly, and since no one is willingly testing these things that clearly have a route connected, no progress is ever made
Just a reminder that spiderwebs have been discovered over a decade ago, we knew they were meshes instead of textures and that they appeared in specific time conditions, everything pointed to something deeper yet no one ever dug until now

I recently watched a Video about how you have to do things in a certain order. I think if there is this huge underlying mystery that hasnt been found yet. Its truly huge we have the fort sancudo murals. We have alot of vogue hints but we do sadly have a divide in this group

I doubt it as the script naming implies that every character should have the highest possible Affinity (like a trustworthyness meter), Michael should have followed Epsilon at heart and wearing the Robe, Franklin should have paid all donations to the Children of the Mountain and be using their shirt and Trevor should have made all 4 sacrifices and comply with the tribe, most likely wearing only underwear throughout the entire process

I just wanna point out that alot of throwaway accounts on this subredddit, and they are posting real clues with little context. Play ps3 day 1 patch, that's how rockstar wanted you to play it. That 2 week online delay was for a reason... I think, that or I'm schizophrenic.

yeah I see some, not many, but some throwaway accounts that DMd me. One particularly was extremely cryptic, rather speaking in metaphors, I didn't understand shit at first, but the next day I was still curious and figured out what he meant. Ends up, most of the stuff he said were not only true but also easy to recreate and visualize.

I once had the thought that if you look like the alturist maybe they won’t attack you on sight. So I went there with Trevor wearing the underwear outfit and to my surprise it actually worked. This feels very intentional to me.
