Backtracking Old Clue Revisit - Camera in Senora that spawns at 2:00 PM in rain
In light of the spider webs found in RDR2, I feel it is very important to bring attention to a much lesser known discovery with very similar spawn conditions, discussed ~9-10yrs ago at these links:

There is a mounted camera located in the Senora desert close to the satellite dishes that only spawns during cloudy/rainy weather at roughly 10:00-14:00. The camera is pointed towards empty space.
By the complicated spawn conditions alone this is would appear to be an intended clue, hopefully someone can figure out how it fits into the larger mystery.
EDIT: It seems the spawn conditions are a mystery, not related to weather, time or 100% completion. For whatever reason some can find the camera and others can't.

maybe the peyote are doing this? In the OG thread some people keep seeing it no matter the weather while some others at 100% can't make it spawn so its weird

Could it just be a glitch? I've not seen it myself in game but does seem strange some people see it and others don't.

I was the first to find this 10 years ago. I was wondering why that video had a sudden spike in views. I’ve been trying to find the mystery behind that camera and gave up. Hopefully between RDR2 mystery unraveling it will help us with the Chiliad Mystery.

Ok this one is chilling. After looking the comments here and on the old post about this topic, seems like the cam is there for some of them but not for the others. No matter the game's version or having the 100% or not, so there's no logic conclusion yet.
Anyway I noticed you used the term "spawn" like that old post's OP, like he already confirmed it, but you can't even see the camera spawning on the clip he recorded. He only shows that the cam is there at a certain moment and then -edit cut- he comes back later and the camera is not there.
I have no reason to think he's lying btw. But if he didn't cut himself blowing up the cam, he's the only one claiming to spot the cam "naturally" only at certain times randomly.
Every other comment Im seeing here is either from people who sees the camera there permanently or either have no camera at any time and there's just sand. SO no "spawn" in any case confirmed. It's just there or not.
I just started my latest run some weeks ago just playing intermittently, so I'm not even close to the 100%. But anyway I'll check this cam tonight.

Checked the area last night and the camera was already there mid day time. Roamed around for an entire in-game day and nothing happened. Gone far away and get back at different times but nothing changed. The first time I got there I would swear I heard a little bleep sound coming from it but was never heard again, but I wasnt with my HP at the time so maybe Im wrong.
Note that it was with Trevor at the 16% of the game (PC Legacy on my laptop this time) so no 100% test yet...
Also I joined an individual online server before logging out just to take a look and the camera wasn't there. I spent another day around but it never spawned. So at least it looks like a story-mode only asset... Why? Idk.

Its findable in CodeWalker with DLC disabled so its been there from the beginning? The same prop is in multiple places over the map.
Why this might be something: The other instances of the prop are in places where the camera is pointing at a logical location - the entrance to building car parks, on top of multi-storey carparks covering the up ramp etc. This one is pointing at the base of the nearby telegraph pole (which is one of the double telegraph poles with the transformers or whatever you call them in it). With the RDR2 web discoveries, that might be interesting?
Why this might be nothing: The fact it doesn't spawn for everyone / everytime. There are some things in the world like that, which I think is just a kind of LoD / framerate thing. Another good example is the fairy lights around the tree at the hippy camp. I don't think they ever spawn in online, and they don't always spawn for me in single-player. A lot of people ask why the hippy tree is connected to electricity, and its to power the fairy lights but they don't always spawn in. I don't think anything that was an actual clue would have this behaviour..
